Quantum entanglement is what happens when a group of particles interacts and leaves inexorably bound together. No matter how far they are. A change in one particle, is a change in the other. They call it “spooky action at a distance”.

There are some people once I’ve met them, I know them for life. We didn’t just spend time together, together we became time. We became the standard to measure Life with.

Space grows between us. Celestial bodies dancing through our own section of infinity.

I remember them, I remember being young and the scars their smiles tattooed under my skin. I remember the food we ate. Sometimes, I smell food and taste stardust.

They will change and I will change. I have changed and so have they. We are the universe’s only constant. Entropy given breath.

There’s nothing spooky about this. I called you because your sadness changed something in me. I felt it across oceans. I messaged you because my liver is working twice as hard. I know you tried to poison yourself.

You do not die today. We do not die today.

The me that’s entangled with you is immortal. I’m sorry, that’s the deal. So don’t waste your time with the poison or the blade or bodies. I have the antidote, the patch and the love. That’s the change that happens in me. Nothing spooky about it. I change to make sure we are forever.
