Missing sleep, While Lost In Vivid Dreamlands
That Waitress Sure Could Skate
Babies crawl with moonbeam lasers - shooting from their eyes
Flying pigs and donkeys - chase a passing car
I sit and stare with wide eyed wonder
While a band of chimpanzees, take song requests - down at the local bar
I walk across the parking lot, a shortcut to the diner
The waitress - a mannequin, wearing skates
I order from the menu and right before my eyes
A hippopotamus juggles - flaming forks and plates
Such a grand menagerie - yet no one seems to notice
The alien collecting old papers and tin cans
They are all too busy dancing to the clan of rowdy monkeys
Who have added trapeze artists to their band
I pause for just a moment as an eagle passes by
Some normalcy, in this warped and crazy world
Cotton candied clouds release paper snowflakes from the sky
As the waitress brings my milk, expired and curdled
I leave my money on the table, as I make my way back home
I need to get a grip and try to get some sleep
There is no explaining, whatsoever - the scene that’s being shown
As Amazon delivers my count by number sheep

Fabulous!!!
Wow, and one more time, wow 👍👍
Love this. My favourite bit was "Cotton candied clouds", an alliteration makes me happy.
