Redux, life, in love without edits

black, charred and fervent,
Choking on your fixed hot buttons—
Charred on earth, I hate those lines you drew
On my hand.
Once, your card read back to me,
A smoky brown look of fervent
Pining,
And I sent you back the same card,
Like a ship bouncing from one port,
Never getting to any destination.
Silky black charred.
My love was drifting on
A new ship,
Wrought of silky green love,
With no parasites, only death lingering beneath its shiny handle and slowly putrefying floor boards.
Your first look at our shared profile
Linked to your programmer mind,
Left us duly starving,
Duly impressed with our combined stigma
Of silky, fervent, charred
Love.
