A loss

It's in my quiet places

that I don't find my peace

I know you have now that God has called you home

It's in my quiet places

where I recollect the memories of our conversations

It's in my quiet places

where your face replays over and over like a favorite movie

It's in my quiet places

realization sets that I will never see you again in earthly places

It's in my quiet places

I know I will never talk to you again

It's in my quiet places

when the hurt suffocates me like a pillow

It's in my quiet place

I cry myself to sleep at night

It's in my quiet places

I tell myself I am strong and I will get through this

It's in my quiet place

where I don't want morning to find me another day without you

It's in my quiet places

a voice whispers " Time will heal"

I know I respond, I know as I lie down in the darkness

of my quiet places.

heartbreak
