Running wild, untamed
Or
Tightly reined?
Imaginationā¦
What to do!
Whereās my lassoooo?
Sometimesā¦
Imagination and I
frolic and play
giggling together the whole happy day.
But, Oh Dear Me!
On other days, weāre another cup of tea.
Weāre chased by monsters and zombies and ghosts
Fleeing for our lives before they grab us by our throats.
Itās a fragile friendship we share
Imagination and I,
Clearly marked āHANDLE WITH CAREā
That, I canāt deny!

I absolutely love the unique flow of this one!
Love the different examples of your relationship with imagination! It can certainly be a complicated dynamic!
I love and relate to these lines, "Sometimes⦠Imagination and I frolic and play'
You painted a vivid picture of the relationship with imagination. I've had similar experiences. Sometimes it's all fun and games, like you said. But other times, it can be a bit scary. How do you think we can better manage those wilder, scarier moments of imagination? Also, I like how you compared it to a fragile friendship. Made me think about how we need to nurture it. Do you have any specific ways you try to keep that connection strong?
I'd go on that imagination ride with you, Angie. Such a fun poem!
