I had a dream

I Didn’t Say That Out Loud

I had a strange and startling dream

I saw an angel smiling at me

A burst of light in my heart

But sometimes light is a lure

He had hair of fire

A hairstyle from the time of the knights

The voice of an angel sang

The blinding light may deceive me

I can't read dreams or interpret them

And then one day you see the truth

The sadness of an angel about to weep

The evidence of a hidden word

But how to tell her? You never can

Because angels only fly

Above us without seeing us

With hope and blind love.

Like a fog that dissipates in the morning

There's hardly anything left

Just a smiling shadow

When I open my heart

He laughs when you tell him.
