How Long Does a Flower Normally Last?

~ ~ ~

By Rowan Finley Published 10 months ago Updated 10 months ago 1 min read

Their cheeks blush as they rush through the dark.

Their peaks flush as they gush to make their mark.

They knew their days were numbered,

choosing to embrace the moment and live unencumbered.

They delighted in the celebration of life itself, and its every phase,

one day, they'd be decayed but their souls and memories would linger as a lovely haze.

Wisdom was stored deep in their treasure chests in the crevices of their hearts,

and they had mastered the intricacies of various pleasures, as if they were shaded, colorful, fine-tuned arts.

"So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90:12
