Sometimes, when I look into your eyes,
gravity abandons me.
Funny how, even after a lifetime,
one look from you makes me feel
as if Iβm walking on air.
And on those days
when everything seems off-balance,
your smile reminds me
that my feet are planted firmly on the ground.

You explain love so well - we all need -and deserve - someone who makes us soar but also grounds us. Brill challenge entry.
Beautiful juxtaposition of feeling airborne and anchored by love! Fantastic entry, Cathy!
What an amazing entry! Those first two lines in particular are awesome!

You've created tension between weightlessness and being firmly grounded here that is idealistic and realistic by turns! Nicely done.

Very romantic my friend.
What awonderful contrast of feelings. A sense of wonder and freedom, yet comfortable with being rooted in a relationship.

If only we all have someone who makes us feel we are walking on air π₯°
Magnificent love poem!!! Bravo!!!
Beautiful metaphors for love - that which sweeps you off your feet, as well as sets you gently back on them. Bravo, Cathy! :)
