Eyeless...And Sometimes, Y

Companion Poem to the L-eye-pogram Challenge

By Gerard DiLeoPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Our eyes are gone now — nowhere to be found.

So we cannot see the spectra of colors

On the world's alphabet blocks.

An A starts my monologue, and an an, and thou the.

With ease I walk here and there, and ever there, over there.

Suppose a pose of Os oppose as torturous throes.? An ode owed

To you, and you, and you.

And only every so often, my soul asks, "Why?"

Likening the loss of the letter I to vision makes for a mind-bending metaphor, Gerard! Great poetic philosophizing!
