"It's fine."
💭 It's not.
"I appreciate you asking."
💭 Why ask when you stopped listening?
"I know you still care."
💭 You stopped caring ages ago.
"It doesn't make any difference."
💭 It makes a big difference to me.
"We can do it some other day."
💭 Tomorrow never comes.
"I'm always here."
💭 but I'd rather run.
"I wouldn't have it any other way."
💭 All hope is dead.
"We'll be okay."
💭⚡I'm trapped inside my head.⚡💭
Is there even a 'we' anymore?
Who am I to you?
Do I matter?
Do you see me?
Did you ever really see me?
Who created this quiet disaster?
Why?
When did it happen?
Who's responsible?
⚡I question⚡everything⚡because of you.⚡
All you do is turn away from me

Couples silliness
All the unheard words that potentially lead to a relationship's demise. I think this is clever and haunting. If one does not speak up, how can anything be solved, but if another refuses to listen, then it's pretty much wasted words spoken into the void. To speak or not to speak. To listen or not listen. A tug of war only remedied by two willing participants.
There's a eerie echo of discord here that is haunting. It happens in a lot of communication. Part of my personal perspective is that we need to S L O W down...take the time to feel our words and theirs. What is it really about? Where are they really at? Where are we really at? There just too much rushing and I loathe it. Great focus for a poem Bill! Thanks for writing and sharing.
