Avalon Magic At Glastonbury Tor
An Ekphrastic Chant-Royal Inspired By A Beautiful Work By Angie Livingstone, The Glittering Fox

Introduction
This is my ninety-first piece inspired by Angie Livingstone's magnificent artwork.
This is An Ekphrastic Chant-Royal. The form was introduced to me by Marilyn Glover in her wonderful work here, which surely deserves a Top Story:

This is probably my third-longest poem. My longest is here:
My second longest is here:

Here We All Are In Avalon
The Druid And The Sorceress
In This Sacred Place They Belong
Confidants Of The Moon Goddess
Above Stands Saint Michael's Tower
Imposing In The Midnight Hour
Here Again, As They Were Before
Reciting Spells To Practice Lore
They Will Not Suffer Any Fools
Beneath The Tower On The Tor
This Is The Place Where Magic Rules
ππποΈππ
'Neath The Tree Sit Hare Number One
All Nature's Creatures Here Are Blessed
Down The Hill, We See A Hare Run
Avalon Is Here, Nonetheless
Sat In The Shelter Of This Bower
Grass Is Dry, After The Shower
Along The Leyline Magic Flows
Towards A Portal, Fairy Door
Mysticism Provides Their Tools
And In The Sky A Third Hare Soars
This Is The Place Where Magic Rules
ππποΈππ
From The Heavens Divine Ones Come
Spreading Their Light, And Acquiesce
To Show Us All How To Be One
Their Place Of Protection To Bless
Here Is Where Love Always Flowers
Lo, The Magi Show Their Power
'Tis Said Angels Were Here Before
Who Knows, They May Come Once More
This Pagan Place, Where Gaia Rules,
Calm Abides, Peace Provides The Score
This Is The Place Where Magic Rules
ππποΈππ
The Spiral From The Tree Belongs
To The Line That Flows Without Rest
With Light And Magic All Along
To The Summit, To The High Crest
And Then Feel The Mystic's Power
'Neath the Glory Of The Tower
Sorceress Chants Her Spell Once More
To Open A Heavenly Door
Reveal This Land's Hidden Jewels
This Treasure Will Be Evermore
This Is The Place Where Magic Rules
ππποΈππ
In The Stars The White Hare Does Run
To Worship Luna, The Goddess
She Who Shines Bright, She Is The Moon
A Shining, Silver, Starlight Dress
Lighting Up Saint Michael's Tower
White Hare Magic, Moonlight Flower
A Place Of Magic To Explore
A Place Where Your Soul Can Restore
To Feel The Magic, Find Your Muse
Always, Always Forevermore
This Is The Place Where Magic Rules
ππποΈππ
Here, Under Glastonbury Tor
Avalon Beauty At Its Core
A Mystic Land Full Of Jewels
When You've Seen It All, There Is More
This Is The Place Where Magic Rules

Way to go with this one Mr. Mike. Now I want to go. The words with the picture flow together and I really like the image with all the shades of green for that and your words were calming to me as I read them.
Whoaaaa, this was spectacular! You nailed this form so brilliantly. Loved your beautiful poem!
Stunning as always. I particularly enjoyed the last stanza!
Beautiful. The last stanza was magic, the culmination of so much power built over the previous stanzas. And you have brought to my attention yet another fantastic new poetic form. πππ
I want to attempt a Chant Royale - it sounds wonderful. Great work here. I mentioned you in my last tap on Vocal's shoulder. I had a backgammon series with a friend that lasted 4 years. We played every Saturday throughout high school, and maintained the same scorecard. After close to a thousand games played, I gained a ton of experience, but ultimately lost :(
Splendid story!!!π
