Alice In Chains
Silent Adventures
my mind keeps hiding in rabbit holes
completing the tasks
shielding my soul
exchanging real for masks
like Alice in wonderland
I find myself lost
trying hard to comprehend
wiling to pay any cost
to get back to living
escape from this dream
circling the ceiling
to see where this path leads
learning from the adventure
how to forgive myself
rediscovering the treasure
of never asking for help
drinking the potion
changing who I am
to quite the commotion
by building a dam
collecting my thoughts
contained, make believe
where teardrops and hearts
aptly decorate sleeves
a lost, little girl
trapped in a shell, worn and aged
searching for the pearl
hidden on the next page
chained, condemned to silence
a small price to pay
weighing the balance
of the words I don’t say

Let thyself not be rendered unto silence, but speak, that we might be blessed to hear.
Aw, clickbait with the title, I see ;) I came prepared to listen to some tunes, instead, I was entertained by a wonderful poem <3 Love this, Kelli
Of course, I thought it was about the band at first, but this was just as well-wrought!
