Age should not matter
I am older, my hair turned grey
my hands show lines from yesterday
yet when you smile, I feel the start
of fire still burning in my heart
They whisper, they laugh, they stare
they do not know the love we share
for time cannot command desire
nor dim the light of passion’s fire
Your touch is warm, your eyes are kind
you see the girl I left behind
and in your arms I find my youth
wrapped in your strength and your truth
So let the world point out my years
let them mock with jealous sneers
I will not bow, I will not hide
love walks with me, and you, beside
No clock can steal what we have made
no rule can break, no vow can fade
age should not matter, love is free
you are my home, and home is me

One finds happiness with whomever and whenever they do find it. Good work.
