PETA is Against the Conservation of Animals
PETA is Against the Conservation of Animals Humans can be selfless, but it is undoubtedly a learned trait. In the Neolithic era, we were born selfish for our own survival because not everyone had a chance. With the comfort of modern society, people can afford to care for themselves and others. Today, humans have evolved to a point where they can deny their natural instincts for the sake of society, ethics, and sometimes causes. For example, PETA is an animal rights activism group that claims to care more about animals than themselves,“People couldn’t believe we were defending chickens”, recalled Ingrid Newkirk, the founder of PETA, in the documentary, “I Am An Animal” (00:07:00). PETA is a seemingly prime example of people working against their primal nature, but it turns out that PETA’s campaign for animals might actually be self-motivated, rather than ethical.

Poison Worries Over The Whale “Sanctuary” Project
For the last few years, I’ve expressed my concerns about a proposed marine mammal “sanctuary” that would be operated by animal rights extremists in Nova Scotia. Many of these concerns I’ve expressed were about the negative effects the pen would have on both local wildlife and the resident animals who would live there.

Curious George the children's book was one of my favorites and was read to me by my mother from as far back as I can remember. If you're unfamiliar with this famous children's book from the USA. Curious George is a pet monkey and he gets into a lot of monkey mischief.

Whale of a Holiday
The following article contains links to shops for which I might receive a commission upon purchase. The holidays are here and it’s that time of year when everyone is sincere, people are bundled up to battle the bitter cold temperatures, drinking down that hot chocolate, watching Christmas movies, singing carols, and of course watching anything that has to do with StarWars.

Opossum Balls and my Authentic Self
Sometimes we go through our days without paying much attention. We flit from one thing to the next without considering if our actions reflect our core values. When we go through life without following our values, we lose ourselves and our ability to generate real happiness.

They Are No More
It is a sad tale of the Dodo Birds and the only places where we can see these birds now are in history museums and the pages of books. These birds were native to the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. Dodo Birds never learned to fear humans so when European settlers landed on the island in the 17th century the birds did not run and hide. Being flightless birds they could easily be caught and used for food. They were also susceptible to forest fires and floods. So unfortunately less than a century went by when Dodo Birds became extinct.
