dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
Love, Your Furry Little Brother
Dear Big Sister, The greatest joy of my life was being part of the Alexander clan. From the moment the four of you walked into the compound, I knew that you were the ones who would take me home. I knew because you were just the family I had been picturing in my doggie daydreams ever since I’d arrived at the Humane Society.

I Will Always Have a Piece of My Uncle With Me Thanks to My Buddy 🐶
Still flooded with sadness and mourning of the sudden loss of our beloved 3 year old German Shepherd, Hampton; who had passed away 7 years ago; we weren’t quite ready emotionally to get another dog. Grieving is a timeless process that is different for everyone and her sudden passing, 3 days before our wedding, just amplified the sadness and memories of her. She was a beautiful, rambunctious and loving dog. Although her life was cut drastically short, the time we had with her was so precious and meaningful and comes with forever lasting memories.

Echo
Over the years, I’ve realized that you never really stop being a soldier. The way I perceive situations, the way I approach challenges differs from how a lifetime civilian would. It can be frustrating, because one path might seem so clear to me, while those around me are intent on a path that is incomprehensible to me.

My Goldendoodle, Latte
I have a female Goldendoodle, and her name is Latte. It’s incredible the connection you can make with a pet, especially a dog from my experience. I am currently a nursing student and will be graduating soon. My brother who is one year younger than me is in an architecture program. Before me and my brother were able to go to college, it was adopting a Goldendoodle puppy who has severe anxiety, had GI problems, and went to get surgery a year after her adoption that made us get through our challenges. I always wanted a dog when I was a little girl, but my parents would never agree to the idea of having one. Me and my brother were both in high school when I decided to adopt our dog. I felt like I had to so she can save us.

Two Dogs Are Better Than One
When my first dog Cooper passed on May 19/2019 at the age of thirteen from lymphoma, I felt like I never wanted another dog again. I was so absolutely heartbroken. Cooper was like my kid and I didn't know what to do without him. My emotions were a mess and I fell into a deep depression.

Two Dogs For One Property Special
My pet adoption story is a bit non-traditional, but one of my favorites to tell. Our realtor set up a special rural property for our viewing. As we snaked our way up the long, coiled, pothole ridden, gravel road we found ourselves a bit concerned. The realtor's F-150 was handling it, but could our little town cars make it up that road? This was a big decision, and the outcome wasn't looking promising.
