dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
Zen The Goldendoodle (aka empawyee of the month)
The best of all dogs in one dog We all have something or someone that can cheer us up instantly. For me, that’s Zen the 6 month old goldendoodle. Whether I am upset, annoyed, or triggered Zen is always happy and never fails to make me happy. Working any job or doing any task would not be the same without him.

Señorita Rita
I grew up with an inescapable allergy of cats. Why? Because I was cursed as a baby. I'm not quite sure if my great, great grandparents did something unforgivable or if there was just a biological defect, but it is cruel, nevertheless. Whenever I see a fluffy cat, I just want to rub my face in their face; It is often followed by watery eyes, sneezes, and a sad soul. That was until I came across this magnificent creature, Rita.

Thor - Our Guardian at The Gate
Unless you're a farmer, you likely don't recognize the value of a really good farm dog. You probably haven't even considered what a farmer needs in a dog. Most families just look for a hound that is going to fit into their lifestyle, be a loyal companion, at the very least, alert them to, and at best, protect them from intruders.

The golden boy
September 2019 I finally convinced my boyfriend to get a puppy, we had both decided we wanted a family oriented breed and what better one than a golden retriever right? We reached out to many different breeders, some far and some close to where we were living. We settled on one that was 30 minutes from where we lived and we scooped the last spot for a litter that was due in October 2019. I was so excited I was finally going to get my golden boy, Little did I know at this time how much love I would grow to have for a 4 legged fur baby that I was yet to meet. October 19, 2019 I recieved the email stating the puppies had been born ! His brave fur mama had delivered 11 healthy pups, 9 were male and 2 were female. I remember the excitment I felt when I opened the email to see the tiny little golden potato looking pups all bundled up together, so fresh and so pure. As time went on we recieved weekly updates on how the pups were doing and to show the progress of them growing leading up to the weeks before we were able to finally meet them. We had pick of the litter due to my boyfriend working out of town and ill never forget the flood of emotions that I felt walking into the room to see 11 adorable little puppies all propped up on the side of their boarded up area so excited to be loved. It was a stressful yet such an amazing 30 minutes to pick out our boy who would be coming home with us in 2 short weeks. We settled on the brown ribboned puppy as he had white tips on his paws and a white patch on his chest which none of the other puppies had, we named him Archie. The anticipation to bring our boy home set in that day and I could not wait to get to hold him again and bring him home with us forever, Archie was the perfect name for him it suited him and we had never met another dog named Archie before. December 12, 2019 We finally got to go pick our baby up, I snuggled him and kissed him the whole way home and in that moment I knew he would be a sweet mamas boy.

Everyone's Favorite Co-Worker
It's common knowledge (or should be) that, for many dogs, a job of some sort is essential for their mental wellbeing. Whether that job is something as simple as putting their toys away or as complex as fetching a needed medicine bottle for a sick handler, most dogs enjoy having something to do, and if they can do it with their favorite human? Well, that's just better!

Gunther & Andi
One night while I slept soundly in the comforts of my bed, I could hear my parents talk as they walked through the front doors of our 3-bedroom house. They were talking aimlessly, about everything, and the nothings we endure as a family. A new sound that hasn't been heard in a long while had made itself known, then it continued to make even more noise. With a jump in my heart, I slowly crawled out of my bed, down the hall, and then found my father holding a small puppy. His fur was light brown with black, and white flecks of hair all over. My parents had gotten him from a nearby community, a family relative was giving away a litter of puppies, and my parents had named him Gunther. We could never keep an animal since we lived a life where priorities weren't met with. Everything changed when we had Gunther though, and I miss him a lot.

Heidi, a Heartbeat at my Feet
"My little dog—a heartbeat at my feet." Edith Wharton My first glance at Heidi on Petfinder A heartbeat at my feet. I’ve always been a lover of dogs, but my miniature schnauzer Heidi has touched my heart unlike any other. She has been at my feet and by my side for the past nine years and has had many “jobs,” the most important of which is bringing joy and love into my life.
