dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
Hi, I'm a Writing Tutor
Yes, Canine Autism is a thing. It's still getting researched. Some vets accept it; others are more skeptical. The behaviorists and professionals I sought out in desperation agreed that my dog is, indeed, autistic. Some people laugh in my face; others' facial features are washed with understanding. A few people even said, "I think my dog has it too." Let me tell you, having an autistic dog isn't easy, and working from home with him makes things even more complicated.

My Buddy Le Croissant. Top Story - October 2021.
Okay, so maybe not exactly a croissant. Instead of a delectable buttery and flaky pastry you enjoy eating, it is a furry little four-legged friend that slightly resembles a fox, and has a big attitude. Speaking of furry, this doggy has so much fur– and randomly in connection to croissants, imagine a croissant shedding another croissant– which would be impressive and yummy honestly, but this breed somehow manages to shed another dog twice a year. Sometimes I think my dog is somewhat more of my boss as with his routine he demands a walk near the same time everyday or he'll voice his displeasure with vocal yawns and whining. The morning walk itself has to be relatively the same amount of distance each time (over a mile long) or he'll show his disappointment with his refusal to move.

Ranger: My beloved spotted Papi
My nominated emPAWyee of the month is Ranger, a beloved spotted dog who has the most human eyes I've ever seen. He brightens up my day just by being around and his day is even more luminous when he's surrounded by humans. Now before we get to explaining our relationship, I think it might be best to give you the rundown of what my office situation is like.

Kodi & Clara
I enjoy the modern luxury of east coast living and west coast working. Being as how I’m usually up in time to wake the Robins this means I have plenty of time before work to call my own. I use it for chores, errands, projects, general puttering about, and sometimes doing nothing at all. These days I spend a lot of it visiting with Mom and Dad over coffee, watching the news on mute with the captioning on because my hubby starts in his corner office half a shift earlier than me.

The Pretty Little Daisy
Hello and good day to everybody reading this story. Today, I am here to nominate a candidate for EmPAWyee of the Month who I believe absolutely, one-hundred percent deserves it. She is a sweet and loving creature who, despite some of her quirks, is the best doggo anybody could ask for.

God of mischief.
What could be perceived as “just a dog” by others is, to me, a playful and loyal being, a constant and loving presence throughout a period of my life which often prompted difficult emotions. Since those words don’t convey the effect this companion of mine has, let’s try these: he’s the catalyst behind my transformative & healing journey... a road that now leads me to love, everyday.
