dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
A Prolonged Absence
I apologize for the length of this article, but it has been growing in my head for a period of a couple of months now. The truth is that you must always be careful when buying a purebred, registered dog. It is no different with registered dogs than it is with horses or cats or goats or even any high-value inanimate object. Always, always, always get the paperwork in hand before driving off with your new dog or horse or cat or goat or car or whatever. I know this fact. I have always, always, always followed that rule. This time, I did not.

Treatment of Diabetes In Dogs
When it comes to canine diabetes, the stated prevalence varies from 0.3% to 1.3%. This condition is caused by a deficiency or excess of the insulin hormone. Dogs are more likely than humans to develop insulin-dependent DM, which is the same as type 1 DM. Hence, treatment of diabetes is a serious concern.

Managing My Dogs' Anxiety is a Full-Time Job
It’s hard for people to understand how much care my anxious dogs need, especially when I also have anxiety and constantly worry about them. It sounds silly, but I could probably be a stay-at-home dog mom and be continually working.

How To Give The Dog A Bath
Rule number one is “Don’t say the ‘B’ word.” This rule applies for several days before the actual event. You think they won’t remember that passing comment to someone on the phone five days ago about how “I really need to give the dog a bath”?

Hot Dog
I remember it all like it was yesterday. It was Friday, October 13, 2011. Friday the 13th. I should have named these two Jason Vorheese and Michael Myers. Literally, it was two weeks before Halloween. I passed all my classes that semester even math and science my two most difficult subjects and I was happy. Very happy. My dad was happy too, of course. Any parent would be. I was eleven years old. I felt entitled to ask Dad to buy me a puppy. I have always wanted a puppy and it seems a good a time as any. I swore to myself that if I had one, I would take good care of it. I would learn to train it, I would wake up everyday to walk it, feed it, bathe it, etc. I'd never be too busy to spend time with it. And it would be my best friend. I have always wanted a puppy. They are so cute. And I hear dogs are truly loyal and love you unconditionally. Something like how God loves us. Actually, did you know dog spelled backwards is God? So there you have it. Dogs are truly awesome.

Max the Volunteer
Can you tell us a little bit about your background and how you came to volunteer? To be honest, this is actually my first position as a Volunteer so I really had no idea what to expect. I was aware of the concept of Volunteering as I found my ‘forever home/family’ thanks to the great volunteer efforts of Forever Friends Animal Rescue. So, it seemed only fitting that I also give back to society by volunteering my time and skills.
