Good evening my friends let me introduce myself. My name is Freedom and I am secretly a Puppy Dog Vampire!

My mom tried to put me in a costume of a vampire to show who I am, but I would only keep it on for few seconds and that was with several treats. Those are my real fangs- Baaahaaa!

My human mom and dad adopted me 3 years ago from a shelter when I was eight years old and now, I am eleven. Everyone who meets me cannot believe that I am 66 years old in dog years. I still run and jump like a puppy. The Veterinarian laughs at me as I like to show off when I am there too. My young good looks are no accident, I have to keep my true age a secret.

I love my human mom and dad. I protect them from all the delivery people who come here with packages.

I do like packages though, because sometimes that is where I get my victims, I mean toys.

I love to take baths and get dried off in my towel because then I am in disguise!

Going for car rides is the best with my human mom or dad. I bark and show off to other pups that are stuck home.

My name is Freedom because I was born around the 4th of July. My human family also adopted me on Veteran's Day 2018. I love to be in my home. I love chicken and doggy treats. I miss my humans any time they have to leave. I really don't like to be alone, but I know they will come back.

I love to run and I get furious when big dogs, my humans call them deer, come into the yard.

In addition to being a puppy dog vampire I am a black lab and hound mix. I can and will smell everything.

I know when a sandwich is being eaten in any room of the house. Did I mention I love chicken and basically any food I see my humans eat. I know the sound of the refrigerator even when I am completely asleep. I can also sense if there something moving around 3 miles deep in the woods behind our house. I will let my humans know especially if this movement occurs in the middle of the night. They appreciate my senses and my barking even though they say "Freedom nothing is out there!"

I don’t like any closed doors. I know how to open every door in the house. My human mom especially likes it when she is on her video conference meetings for work and I swing open the door to let her know I am here. "No closed doors!" I bark.

When vampire instincts kick in, I will unfortunately do this (see picture below) to my victims, I mean toys, even though initially I loves these squeaky things very much.

My human family will always tell me that they love me and that I was the best decision they ever made. I love them too and try to always be a “good boy.”

My human mom and dad say that if anyone is considering adopting a dog to give the old guys like me a chance. Especially from a shelter or a rescue, many of us are puppy dogs at heart. We love to cuddle, run, play and jump. Maybe just a tad bit slower. Not all are puppy dog vampires like me, but we will love you just the same.

Thank you for reading! Have a great day!

I absolutely adore the narrator! Freedom is a beautiful boy and anyone can tell he is loved. I hope he gets plenty of victims, I mean, new toys for his part of this collaboration. Residuals, too!

  • This was fun and enjoyable to read. Job well done!!!

  • Absolutely lovely and some great photos
