dog
It's no coincidence that a dog is a man's best friend; they're more faithful than most other animals, and more faithful than many people.
How,my life was saved
They say dog is mans best friend, id like to introduce you to"Priest" he is my American Bulldog cross Shar pei Pitbull, he is now 4 years old and I guess my adventure with Priest began in 2016 when I saw a guy outside one of the local pokie rooms mind you its 4am and he was sitting there with 5 puppies although they all looked quite simular they seemed to look like the rednose pitbull but there was one so very different he had a dopey looking face droopy ears and black markings on his nose. Now this guy well his name was John and it just so happened he owed me quite a bit of money, I had helped him out when he was down on his luck. Now he tells me I can have the best one in the litter for $800 bucks I just laughed at him and said I'm pretty sure you owe me around that much but what makes you think id take that one anyway. what's wrong with this one as I pointed to the black nosed one. He quickly says no that one's stupid well that just made me want him more so as I bent down to take a good look at this little pup and then I very sternly said "you do realise what your doing is illegal" "so hows this sound im going to take this little fella for the money you owe and I'im going to take the others and find them good homes for free. I then grabbed all the pups put them in my car took them home, it wasn't until I got home I thought these little guys cant be more than 4 weeks old so I made them a bed and bottle feed them some warm milk. It only took me about 5 days and all the pups were rehomed except this little odd one out, I looked down at him as he tilted his little head and said now what are we going to call you. It was my daughter who gave him the name Priest so I guess from then on our adventures began. Priest began to grow and I guess the most amazing thing about this boy was he always seemed to know my every emotion now if I believed in the afterlife I'd say he had been a reincarnation of someone who knew me very well. Every time I would be with someone having a conversation about just general things in life he would always be right there listening to every word. Now over a year has now past and it was around Christmas 2017 when things just became unbelievable.

Pawfully Ever After
Skye joined our family on July 3rd, 2015, when my husband called to say he had a surprise for us. Our four children buzzed with excitement. They assumed puppy, and I foolishly guessed cat. I’ll never live that one down. He pulled up with a massive grin on his face. On his lap was a tiny grey puppy of cuteness. I’ll never forget that Skye locked eyes with me as soon as I came up to the window. She was small, the runt of the litter, and the cutest puppy I had ever seen.

Rosie
The beat up silver Pontiac was left running outside the pizza shop. I shot a look of desperation at my husband. I whipped my head back in the direction of the car. We were going to steal it. As I turned back to him to confirm he had already gone. I looked at the Pontiac, this time assuming I would see my husband hopping into the driver’s seat, but he wasn’t there. I heard him yell, “Whose car is that outside? We’ll pay $200 to anyone who can give us a ride right now!” I watched from the sidewalk through the corner store window. I realized he recognized the high school kid working the checkout counter. “He must be one of his students,” I thought out-loud. He jumped the counter and the boy led him back into the kitchen. He disappeared. I looked down in my arms. My girl was barely breathing. Her body was frail and lifeless. Her tongue which was usually pink and giving out endless kisses was ashen and hanging from her mouth. She was only a puppy, we only had her a year. She had already brought us a lifetime of joy but this couldn’t be it. We needed her.

Life's Precious Moments
Life is full of surprises… It is comprised of the smallest to biggest surprises and moments that make a huge impact. My life has been a series of ups and downs. It’s a roller coaster ride full of emotions, experiences, and learning. I’ve been in my lowest of lows and the highest of high in life… I fell several times but still rose and show the world how brave I am. What is interesting and exciting is that as I navigate and journey this marvelous and topsy-turvey road called “Life”, I just don’t have the love of my life to hold my hand but I have these two amazing friends that I will call my “light and joy”. A big part of how I define life and love in a much more meaningful and purposeful paradigm is through my adorable and wonderful pets, Duke and Patent. Duke, a nine-year (9) old black Labrador is a very sweet, loving, and protective dog while the other one, Patent, is an almost two (2) year old Maltipoo. He is wonderfully sweet, mischievous at times, and very playful. They’re completely opposite in terms of their attitude and characteristics but they are both the bringer of joy, entertainment, and color in our family. Welcome to Familia Medeiros! And let me share with you the precious memories I have with these cute and oh-so-adorable babies we have.

Morgan Unleashed?
He came as a foster dog, timid and scared. He and his brother had wandered in the Carolinas for several months. My father was in the kitchen, far away from him, worrying that he had been growled at. He had growled and barked at me too as I entered the apartment. It was very disconcerting.

The First Snow
The cold, brisk air of last night was carried off by the sunrays in the early morning hours but the snow that blanketed the park remained. It was the first snow of the winter. It started its magical descend just around midnight, like a thief in the dark, silently, when everything was quiet and no one expected it.

All About My "Baby Sister"...
She was the love of my little life, the apple of my eye and the beat of my heart. I fell in love from the moment I spotted her tiny little body curled up in a small basket on a cushion. She was cuddled up next to about 5 other pups, undoubtedly her siblings, licking her lips…apparently looking for a meal. Shortly after bringing her home, I had my leg broken in a car accident. My "baby sister" Tracy was there to cheer me up as I stayed home from school for 3 weeks. She cheered me up when I was sad, entertained me when I was bored and continuously licked my face to show me that she loved me.

Daisy: "Kevin McCallister" among dogs!
Hello! I'm Bogdan and I'm the happy owner of a pretty, crazy lady. The female version of "Kevin McCallister" among dogs. Her name is Daisy and she is a mixed breed dog. She is young and restless, 4 years old, and very funny. I rescued Daisy from a shelter in 2018. She is a great dog: playful, sweet, loyal, and loves playing with the other dogs at the dog park. She loves to wake me up by kissing and licking my entire face. So she helps me pass the cleaning face in the shower. And (she should not know) I double wash then. Unfortunately ruining her wet 'love' left on my face.

Something in Common
When I was a kid I was obsessed with princess movies. I wanted the perfect hair, the sprawling castle, and animals to be my best friends who could help with the occasional chore or two. I had every VHS tape, knew every musical number, and even insulted my parents by telling them I was going to change my name to Jasmine as soon as I turned 18.

See How Life Works
For majority of my life, I pretty much did not like dogs. It wasn't anything against them it was just I had a terrible fear when it came to them. Also, my mom never liked animals either and wouldn't let us get one. Of course, in my adult years I've learned to deal with my phobia and have a different perspective on them.
