Can you spot this? (Creepy!)
It was about seven-thirty at night in my little apartment/dorm room on a Friday night. I didn't have much to do after a long day at work except look forward to a well rested weekend. I decided to resume my binge of American Horror story into the "My Roanoke Nightmare" season. My dog Chester was driving my girlfriend up the wall that week and she had dropped him off at four, immediately after I sent out my text that I had gotten off work and the few hours that followed were arduous to say the least.

Pet Mom
I am always asked do you have any children? I am 28 years and have never had human children. So my answer alwasy end up do pets count as children? For me, they do, I have a cat and a dog. Both fight like brothers and are just as crazy and destructive as a toddaler. The dog is ranging on hormonal teen though so I say pets count as children. Not all moms or dads can have children let alone the finacial stability to adopt human children. So if asked do you have kids? Say yes they are four-legged (Some times three-legged if something happened) and have fur and bark or meow. Be a proud pet mom/dad and talk all about your crazy four/three-legged fur babies. Yes, even birds and other animals can count. share those crazy stories of your cat scaring your dog or how your bunny stole the cat's food. Never know who would love to hear about your crazy fur family flaunt those babies with pride!

“Adopt Don’t Shop” Hurts Dogs And Owners
Everyone’s heard it. “Adopt don’t shop! Choose to save a life! No dog is bad!” It’s, frankly, a scam. To put it simply, shelter dogs come with baggage. Sure, they’re cute, lonely, sad, and needy, right? Well, cute is for sure. I mean, they’re dogs. All dogs are pretty cute. You’d be hard pressed to find a photo that doesn’t make me say “that’s a cute dog”. But are shelter dogs lonely? Some, maybe. But they get about as much (if not more, to be blunt) attention from shelter staff during the day through the care schedule as they will in the average pet home where the dog is condemned to the back yard for 10 hours minimum while the owner is at work/school, some food is plopped carelessly into a bowl to be devoured in the evening while the owner decompresses from work by playing phone games on the couch, and then the owner sleeps and the cycle repeats itself. So loneliness isn’t an excuse. Sad? Probably not, since dogs don’t experience all of the same emotions humans do. Try not to anthropomorphize dogs, guys! Needy? Yes. All dogs are. Owning a dog is nearly as labor-intensive as having a five year old child (or an infant if the dog is a puppy or a senior/special needs dog). You must feed them at least twice, exercise them for at least one hour (the minimum does raise depending on breed too), walk them at least once (yes, walking is separate from exercise), take them outside to potty regularly at least every three hours or more frequently depending on age and bladder health, brush their WHOLE coat at least once, brush their teeth if you want to avoid dental disease, check that their nails are a healthy length and trim/grind them when necessary, check their ears for dirt and clean accordingly, do training for at least fifteen minutes twice unless you WANT your dog to be a poorly behaved demon, and ALL of that is just the basic care needed every single day. EVERY DAY. Then there’s the intermittent stuff like bathing, haircuts, vet visits, flea and parasite preventatives, changing their collar out when it gets too old and worn or too small, toys that you need to replace frequently whenever the dog shreds it to an unsafe level, and many more if you want to go beyond just being halfway responsible.

Life With Dogs
What would life be without dogs? Let me tell you; it would be a lot less exciting, a lot less stressful, and a lot less rewarding. You're probably thinking to yourself, "Dylan, man, less stress is a good thing." Think about it for a second. How would life be rewarding if we didn't encounter any stress? Life with no stress would be very uneventful and very boring. Raising kids is stressful, correct? Any responsibility comes with some degree of stress. If you are a dog owner or have any pets, you are likely aware of this. For those who do not or have never owned a pet, keep this in mind as I try to sell you on finding your new best friend!

Just a Dog
I’ve loved dogs since I first realized what they were, four-legged loyal companions that were silly, dump, and just lovely creatures that were both protectors and friends. As I get older my love for them increases, to the point now where I feel the need to become more active in the pet community and make strides to both understand them better and volunteer my time to help them. My experience is my own, though similar to folks that live in rural areas no doubt. There’s something unpolished about how the treatment of dogs in rural communities. Many people don’t give them the respect they deserve, though it depends on the person.

Why You Should Buy and LOVE Reptiles
Reptiles seem to be the thing of nightmares for a lot of people. Especially after watching "Snakes on a Plane", although a lot of these movies, stories just are not true of representing our scaly friends. Reptiles including birds are the oldest land dwelling animals to ever live on Earth, but being beat by our fish friends sharks. So why should you get over your fear of reptiles and especially snakes? Quite a few reasons actually. Very seldom do they actually hurt people and that goes for crocodilians too! Reptiles will very rarely attack unless provoked which goes for any animal. They're fascinating to watch! On the surface they might be boring but it's neat to see how they interact with they're surroundings and their owners especially bearded dragons (beardies). The bearded dragon is the most commonly kept reptile in the pet trade. They're calm, affectionate, and fun to watch. They are super friendly and docile too. They're personalities are just amusing too. Although the downside is some if these reptiles can be quite expensive. Including their food and enclosures. Upfront expect to pay almost $900 on their pen, food, décor, care items, lights, and even the animal. Sales and specials will be your best friend if you're looking to buy from a pet store (although I wouldn't recommend it). Reason being is that pet stores don't really care about the safety of the animal and will often house them together (which you NEVER do)! I'd buy my supplies from a pet store and the animal from a breeder. If you do buy from a pet store, make sure you ask the following questions:

Boomer
One day I was at my grandmas house, missing my cat, Bobbie. I wanted to go back home so I could see her, but there was much more cats at my grandmas house. So, I walked around the back porch where the cats were. I walked over to my other cat, Luna Kitty. Luna Kitty was pregnant at the time, so I didn't want to pick her up because I might hurt the kittens. I went to see Luna Kitty's foster mother, Mommy Kitty, or Sara. Sara was also Bobbie's mother, so Luna Kitty is Bobbie's foster sister. I wanted to go inside, because it was hot out. I walked inside of my grandmas house, and cool air rushed into my hair. I walked over to the couch to sit down near my grandmas dog, Ruby. I got up after a few minutes to grab something to eat. I found nothing I liked, so I went to my cousins house to play games on my phone. I rode my bike down to her house, which was not far away. I set my bike down and ran inside the house. I spent a couple nights there, with my cousin Adalynn. My mom came and picked me up to go home. I ran inside of the house, happy to be home again with my cat. I ran into my moms bedroom to find my cat, because she liked staying in there. When I checked, I saw a black and white cat. I jumped back in surprise. I never seen a cat like him. I wondered if he was a street cat that had sneaked into our house. I went to tell my mom that, but when I told her, she said that he was our cat now. I was surprised because she said that I would not get another pet. I walked back into the bedroom, only to find Bobbie sleeping on the bed. I went and checked under the bed to see if the cat was still there. Before I could check, my little brother walked in with the cat in his arms. "This is Boomer!" He happily said. I walked over to Boomer and picked him up to pet him. He was very soft. I went over and sat on my moms bed. I wanted to see how sharp his claws were, so I picked his paw up and tried to find his claws. For some reason, I couldn't find them. I guessed that he was declawed. I went over to my mom and asked her why did she get him. She told me that she got him because he was declawed and fixed. A few months later, Bobbie started to pee on stuff so we had to kick her out. I was sad, so everyday I would walk outside to see her. A week after we kicked her out, my other cousin came and we brought her back inside. Boomer was not happy at all. The whole night we called him a angry ball of fur. Eventually we fell asleep and in the morning I begged my mom to bring Bobbie to my grandmas house. She eventually said yes. That day we brought Bobbie back to where she was born, by the way my grandmas house. The present day, Bobbie, Boomer, Luna Kitty and Sara are all doing well. Luna Kitty has 3 healthy kittens, one from a different litter. Sara has 1 surviving kitten and before she had her kittens, she moved to Adalynn's house. Her kittens name is Ollie. Boomer is happy in his home and Bobbie is too. That's the end of this story! Stay happy and healthy! Bye!

Cat Whisker Facts
Have you ever looked at your cat’s cute face and wondered if those whiskers served a purpose, and what that might be? Of course you haven’t, you most likely have one of those really aloof cats that you never see unless it’s trying to claw your eyes out while you are sleeping. Lucky for all of us though, I have a friendly cat and I started to think about this, so I decided to find out more about whiskers and share it with all of you. Perhaps “fascinating” is a bit of a stretch, but it turns out that cat whiskers are pretty remarkable things.
