A little can go a long way.
January 24, 2021, will make it two years since I've lost my beloved best friend. I've lost him to cancer and I'll never forget the day the vet told me that it was no amount of money that I could have spent to save his life. I only had $100 and that was how much it cost to get him seen in the doctor's office, with no help and no extra money I spent all I had to find out what was wrong with him as he was walking around with a big lump on the left side of his neck. It was a rough summer for me, my fur baby, and my family as we were moving out of our apartment and trying to find another one to move into, it was hard so we ended up moving to a motel 6 for a week or so and then moving in with my sister in a nice suburbs area.

DOGS FOREVER
At the cost of over-simplification, it can be said that dogs are just tamed and domesticated wolves. For the last couple of millennia, wolves found solace in the company of the man. They both forged a bond and the wolf shed its wildness for controlled aggression and became the trusted companion that he ever needed.

Home is Where We Are
I have always been a cat person. I've also always identified and presented as a woman in the United States, which, as many of us know, comes with an abundance of double edged swords waiting to slice and dice us to our absolute limit. A few of those swords about what a 30 something woman's home should be kept me from embracing all the splendors of a cat lady life until, to paraphrase Shakespeare, I had greatness thrust upon me.

This guy Kirt must be quite a catch to make mom this happy. I am also going to have a sister. Her name is Coco. I just know we are going to be the best of friends. She's small like me so I am sure we will get along great!

Living with Luna
Have you ever been sitting at your desk, trying to study or get work done, and decide you want a nice crunchy snack to eat? I'm sure most of us know this desire, and have acted upon it. After getting that snack, have you ever had a tiny little gray gremlin try to sneak across the desk, right in front of you, to steal said snack? And then run away, scattering cracker or peanut crumbs all over your laptop?

I found my best friend when buying towels.
2020 was quite the year. I know everyone has heard this time and time again, but if you could predict what might have happened last year....you couldn't. That might be one of my favorite parts of 2020 because it was completely unpredictable. From Covid-19 to murder hornets, 2020 was a year we will all remember for the rest of our existence.

Best Company Ever!
Before we knew it, 2 years had flown by since we lost our two 18 year old cats. They were, and still are in our hearts & minds, family. The temptation to get another one was huge, but there was a part of us that actually wanted to feel the loss. Well, wanted isn’t exactly correct, but it kind of is, too. Almost like grieving for them really proved how much they meant to us. So we didn’t (get another one) and we did (feel the loss rather keenly).
