Fawn
I sat against the wall and stared at the ceiling. Time will tell, that’s what they said. Time had come and gone and so had they. Outside, the others were still trudging through the backyard looking for treasure. I didn't share the same optimism. There wasn't much when the world was still burning so there wasn't bound to be any now. A few moments passed until one of them shouted for the others. They apparently found something interesting. I heard more shuffling around in the grass before they started calling for me.

Dizzy the Pig Dreams Big
There once was a pig named Dizzy. All two feet seven pink inches of Dizzy loved all the things that pigs do. He loved to roll in the mud. He loved eating all kinds of food. And most of all, he loved dreaming about things he had never done.

Almost Home
Snowflakes spun in the wind, dancing across the headlights on their journey to the ground. The road was turning deceptively white with powder, hiding the slick patches of sleet that had fallen earlier in the day. I studied my mom as she hunched forward, hands gripping the wheel, eyelids heavy. “We’re almost home,” she said.

Adventures with Orgone
A caged barn owl, I pondered. What sense does that make? Growing up I dreamed of being an owl because they seemed so wise and free. They didn’t need materials to define their identity. They were on their own schedule. Sleeping when most are awake and feasting at night when most least expect. I’d hear their hoots from a far, and If I was lucky, I’d find the culprit. So much mystery- too much to be locked away and stripped of their game with prey. Maybe it was my love for them that brought me here. Or maybe she cried out to me hoping I’d set her free. I was always an adventurous girl, but even I was stunned that I was trekking through the woods alone at night. It was as if something was calling me; a call that I couldn’t ignore. An hour passed and I was covered in dirt and twigs. This area was unfamiliar to me, but my swift and sure moves said otherwise. In all this darkness, shined a light. Suddenly, I knew that was my beacon. There was a window to a house I’d never seen before. I had no idea where I was or whose land I was trespassing on. I didn’t care; I followed my gut. I looked in and big, beautiful eyes pierced through me. The fire behind them set a flame to my heart.

How To Earn $200 A Week Pet Sitting
1. Sign up to multiple platforms My recommendations are Pawshake and Madpaws. These are the two most popular sites and 80% of my revenue comes from Madpaws alone. Pawshake has the option to print your own flyers, which could be helpful when establishing yourself in a new neighbourhood.

Everyone Can Save the Bees
Unless you have been living under a bridge, and if you have please share with me how it's going as I have often considered moving to that less domestic lifestyle, you know that bees are not only our life source, but that they are very much in danger.

My New Roommates
Shamiel, Shamazel, Hasenpfeffer Incorporated. This famous line is from the 1976 – 1983 sitcom, Lavern and Shirley. A spinoff of the other famous sitcom, Happy Days. Lavern and Shirley follows the misadventures of two 20-something Milwaukee girls who work at the made up, Shotz Brewery. It basically followed the same pattern of Lucy and Ethel getting into mishaps and then solving them in 30 minutes, started by the legendary, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. I used to religiously watch the show when I was old enough to discover TV and when there were re-runs on every night of the week.

Good deeds can be found anywhere
Working in the vet field, and in an ER clinic at that, I see a lot of really expensive cases. Animal care in general is expensive, and when emergencies strike, it can be fatal. We see people all the time who want to pull out all the stops to save their pet, but the funds just aren’t there. And I hate it. That’s the worst part of my job; seeing people who love their animals so much but can’t afford to help them when emergencies strike. If I had a dollar for every time I saw it happen, I would be able to pay for all of it.

Memory of a Bird
The world as we know it isn’t always a distinct black or white. There’s an abundance of grey. Perhaps, we choose to view grey as a form of denial when a clear answer is staring at us point blank, ready to shoot, if it wasn’t for our cowardice to stare right back. They say that hindsight is always 20/20 but let’s ponder that thought for a moment; in a literal sense, with such a big portion of the world wearing some sort of corrective lenses nowadays sight, in any form, is far from 20/20 within the general population. One other thing about the world is that it is utterly and completely unapologetically fair, or at least that is what Alex used to say. And you better believe that if my big brother Alex had something to say about a situation, it was as good as true! People like him don’t come around very often, he was gentle and caring yet, fierce and strong. He knew right from wrong and was smart enough to know that like a good game, life is best enjoyed with the people you hold dear. It amazes me to this day how someone so young and full of life could have been filled with so much understanding about the complexities of the universe but maybe that is my own grey area.

Happy Dog
This was a few weeks ago. I had just left a family BBQ. I made sure to grab as many left overs as I could (which I always do) and was driving home. I needed to stop at the store so I pulled into a corner store. As I was looking for a spot to park, I noticed a lady hanging halfway out of the large dumpster in the back. I have been homeless before so I could understand why she was doing it. I parked my car and went into the store. As I was leaving the store, I noticed the lady had a pet carrier that was in much better shape then the rest of her other items. And out of the carrier came a Pit Bull pup wagging his tail. He also had on a Superman sweater and looked in much better shape than his owner.

Sprains and strains are different, but they are both common in dogs. If surgery is not an option, a leg brace is a great solution. A brace holds your dog’s joints and muscles in place. The best leg braces are custom made to last for the life of your dog.
