From Grief to Life
My family is no strangers to pets. We’ve had everything from cats to bunnies to a truly spectacular number of fish. We’ve adopted our pets from stores and shelters, they’ve been store raised and strays. However, this story isn’t about them. This story is about my pet, my precious little kitten and how he came into my life. This story started on January 6, 2015, the worst moment of my life, the day my brother died. We were born only 16 months apart and he was the most important person in my life. He was always there to encourage me, make me smile and had always been by my side. So, you can imagine that losing him was more than heartbreaking and that after I did, I found that I was pretty lonely. My other siblings were many years older than me and not living at home, so we hadn’t been very close at the time. So, to help ease my loneliness I asked my parents if I could get a pet. A therapy pet to help me through my grief, to support me and give me a whole new reason to smile.

For: RoseGold&Kesan
For: Rose & Kesan (My Two Cat Sons) I will always love and appreciate the both of you too. My little sister, who is actually is my best-friend, had took in a stray cat who had kittens and she kept one of those kittens. I wanted a cat, since my son had passed away and I was suffering really horrible from depression. So, my little sister cat who I called Mama, had her third litter of kittens, and my sister already had two from her second litter. My little sister is an animal lover, no matter what she says, she will say “I am not taking in no more animals,” and next thing you know, she will be telling you why she had to bring the cat or dog home. I always laugh, as her mom gets on her, but we love her so much that we all will someway or somehow, take care of whatever animal that she had brought home.

I Will Always Have a Piece of My Uncle With Me Thanks to My Buddy 🐶
Still flooded with sadness and mourning of the sudden loss of our beloved 3 year old German Shepherd, Hampton; who had passed away 7 years ago; we weren’t quite ready emotionally to get another dog. Grieving is a timeless process that is different for everyone and her sudden passing, 3 days before our wedding, just amplified the sadness and memories of her. She was a beautiful, rambunctious and loving dog. Although her life was cut drastically short, the time we had with her was so precious and meaningful and comes with forever lasting memories.

Stevie's Here
Stevie’s Home Stevie the Brittany’s Story of Claiming Our Family as His Stevie came to us as a Foster dog a year before he officially became a member of the family. We tried hard to find him his own family for a year or so before we stopped resisting his Brittany choice – the choice he had made despite our intentions – the day he moved in.
