Stories From The Pack
Sawshaw And The Semi By Shelley Peterson When Sawshaw came into my life she was only about a year old, timid, had no real training and was very insecure. I quickly found out what her worst habit was. It was a life-threatening habit that would eventually kill her if I didn’t figure out some way to stop this dangerous behavior.

In the Woods
Capturing the wild means to capture nature and all its glory. That's a big challenge. On the one hand, you don't want to disturb the delicate balance by getting too close, but on the other, you can't help but to admire such raw, powerful beauty. I'm not a great photographer, but I have taken up this task with all of my heart. Bear with me my fellow readers, for I shall tell you my story.

Companionship
It was an early winter morning in Maine. The sun was rising and as it did so, it warmed the road ahead of me, wrapping me in a soft blanket of fog. I felt cofident of my future. I was filled with possibilities as I drove home. It was an early winter morning in Maine. The sun was rising and as it did so, it warmed the road ahead of me, wrapping me in a soft blanket of fog. I felt cofident of my future. I was filled with possibilities as I drove home. I chose to take this back road because it was so peaceful. A country road where the houses were set far back, leaving the wooded areas to retake the land. Sometimes During my drive I often encountered deer, owls, and an occasional moose. This road surrounded Ime to with my thoughts and beauty.

The Jewelry Thief
The sun was setting over the mountain range, light danced across the wooden floor, but he was there to work, not play. He enjoyed the last bits of warmth before the world became dark. The window was open a bit and cool air was blowing the curtain away from the sill. The days were getting shorter and that suited him simply fine. The best operations were always pulled off under darkness.

What to Name the Dorpa?
My friends have just acquired a new Dorpa sheep (known as a cleanskin as they do not require shearing) from the Murrumbateman Field Days and it needs a name. The sheep is a whether (this means that it has been pruned) so it will be employed as a pet to eat the grass on their quarter acre block in a country town. So yesterday we went through various names such as Amos, Daphne Dorpa and I suggested Dick the Dorpa - no make that Dickless Dorpa I said; more suited to his "whethered" state.

A Good Name
The banner, several stories tall and proclaiming, “Marry Chriatmas!” would stay up until after I left the city six months later. But on Christmas Eve of 2007, I had no way of knowing this. It was just part of the noisy cultural schizophrenia in one of the world’s largest cities, only noticeable because of its size. Though nearly midnight, the street’s ambience was that of midafternoon. Food vendors called out to passersby. Couples laughed and argued and milled about, looking at cheap toys and carnival style games. My teeth chattered.

A Dog Sitter's Story
It was 6:30 PM on a typical workday. Sitting at my cubicle, I admired the various notes and printed photos pinned on the fabric-lined walls. As I was finishing up the last of my tasks for the day and getting ready to head home, I received a text.
