Pet Costumes and More
All dogs are beautiful and so are all pet owners beautiful. Beauty really shines in special times. Like when we can dress them up and why not! Hallowe'en doesn't have to be spooky it can be fun. If you're like me and have no human children it can be more fun.

When you have pets, it is important to consider the indoor plants that we have at home, as there are several that are toxic to them. The idea is not to do without plants , but to have the right ones. Thus, both you and your pet will be happy.

Cats Are Also Bats
Halloween is always a big deal at our house, and everyone always gets involved, and that means cats, ferrets, dog etc. Everyone gets treats, if they dress up, and that means a costume portrait for a treat, time permitting. It is always a busy time for us too, with celebrations and festivities. And, sometimes entertainment events. I have taken to putting together a fancy table spread of goodies for spooky movie watching snacks and fun. Pets are never left out of the fun no matter what, they get holiday themed toys, treats, and love to watch me prepare for the festivities. They are constant companions and loyal devotees.

Love Lost, and Lost Again
As cats go, my Chloë was on the small side. And, nearing 20, she had become frail and wizened. She was so skeletal despite her huge appetite that I often feared I might break her with an errant step or by picking her up in just the wrong way.

Top 5 Family Dog Breeds.
Let's start off by saying this. Many breeds make great family dogs. It just depends on what you are looking for. Do you want a dog that is protective? Do you need a workout partner or do you want a dog that will gladly lounge around the house or apartment with you? These are some of the questions that you need to ask yourself before going about choosing a furry friend. It wouldn't make sense if you are an avid hiker or love the outdoors and then you decided you wanted a Bulldog. It also wouldn't make sense if you wanted to hang around the apartment all day and got a Siberian Husky.

Super Tsuki
Tsuki is quite the superhero. She arrived on the scene when we needed her the most this summer. Our fluffy kitty companion of thirteen years suddenly got ill and passed away at the beginning of the summer. It left a massive hole in our lives and hearts. Our home felt empty and despite knowing that she was no longer with us physically, we would often search for her. It was a difficult transition. The end of July came around and in waltzed Tsukihime, the nutty, tiny kitten with a massive personality.

Our Zip
Let me tell you about the goodest boy you'd ever meet. His name was Zip. Zip. The Myth. The Dog. The Legend. Zip was my family's first Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler), and the dog that would forever change our lives. My Dad saw the breed in a movie and fell in love, so my parents took a road trip to Tennessee and adopted him as a young pup. He was bred to be a show dog, but didn't have a 'winning' stance, so was returned to his birth home. I don't recall how my parents found his adoption listing, but I can tell you that regardless of his inadequacy to win trophies, he was definitely always a winner in our eyes.

Reasons Your Dog Needs Vaccines
Vaccinations have become quite controversial in recent years. More and more parents aren't vaccinating their children, even though their pediatrician recommends it. And the whole country is up in the air about the new Coronavirus vaccine that is out. Many are rushing to get protected, while others simply aren't sure about it yet.

Halloween In The Queendom Of Fur And Scales
Halloween is a month-long affair in the queendom of fur and scales. On any given day I can be found with my head in a storage tub of fake spiders and bones or planted in my chair spinning webs of yarn. With this year’s costume budget running a little non-existent we had to pull out our magic wands and call in the mice to fashion some glorious new costumes. Thankfully over the years, I have collected quite a pile of hoosits and whatnots to bippidy boppidy BOO up some Halloween treasures!
