Cat A Log
Introduction I do this every so often. Every day I walk, and if I see cats, I take photographs and sometimes share them on Instagram with the hashtags #CatsInNam and #CatsOfVocal, but there are some strange things that come back with those hashtags:

When Home Stops Feeling Safe
After six years of living with each other, Buddy and I know each other far too well. Our feelings are known to each other with just a look. He mostly trusts me , except at certain times of the year, which I am going to tell you about, and why.

Hiss Vs Growl
Life was good before the move. Leo and Loki spent all day eating, sleeping, and playing. Their humansâ presence was not necessary for the enjoyment of their dog free paradise. Each had their favorite spots on the couch and windowsill where they would bask in sunbeams and challenge birds. When not engaging in these activities they would spend hours discussing the humans they were forced to live with.

A Shocking Study!!! What Does It Mean to Have a Cat in Your Home?
At first glance, this question sounds dramatic, almost like the opening line of a viral headline. Yet behind it lies a fascinating truth supported by science, psychology, history, and everyday human experience. In Memory: Aspen's Great Expectations of LoupGarou
This story has been an entire year in the making. Pip passed away precisely one year ago today, December 17, 2024. I've tried writing it several times, but I've never been able to get past the first paragraph. Losing Pip has been an experience wrapped up in loss, in guilt, in the pain of promises unable to be kept. Every time I post about him, I cry over the knowledge that I will never have another picture of Pip, that the loving little dog that I knew so well had his life end tragically, so needlessly, that I have a hard time celebrating the lives of the puppies that he left behind. He had so much potential, so much promise. I had told myself that the spring of 2025 would be the time for working on agility, on weight pull, on all of the fun things that he loved to do. For Pip, spring of 2025 never arrived.

For No Reason
I wrote this as a teenager and forgot it existed until I found it again in old files. Iâm putting it here because the core point is still true, and still denied. Itâs told in the voice of a dog, but itâs not a breed or pet-specific statement. Itâs a sequence statement. Same logic applies to any animal living under chronic neglect or abuse.
