My Two Babies
Back in 2011, I came across an ad giving away puppies and it excited me because I had just gotten a place of my own and I was finally single again which I had not been in such a long time. I figured getting a puppy would give me someone to keep me company when I wasn’t working.

10 Companies That Donate to Animal Welfare Groups
Concern for animal welfare and well-being has been in existence since at least 10,000 years ago. Our appreciation and respect for animals has led to their domestication, welfare, and infiltration of wellness programs. Some popular programs that companies donate to are ASPCA, American Humane Society, and countless other animal rescue shelters and welfare organizations throughout the United States, ensuring the safety and well-being of all animals. Signs Your Dog Needs to Go to the Vet
Dogs have ways of letting you know that things aren't right, as long as you pay attention. Familiarizing yourself with your pup's behaviors helps you to know when your dog needs to go to the vet, but that's not all you need to know. Spotting behavioral changes quickly is helpful. However, it's also essential to recognize the signs and symptoms of common issues that can point to more severe problems. Instead of heading to Google and getting scared sick, research your dog's breed, age, and common ailments. That can potentially save unnecessary visits to the vet, but knowledge will also let you know that your doggo needs to see the doc.

New Housemates
When my husband and I moved into our house in September, we had three dogs and that was it. We haven't owned any cats in something like ten years or more. It's not that we have anything against cats, we just wanted dogs. Two months after moving in, my stepson moved in with us. He told us that he had a cat and her kittens at his old apartment that he hadn't been to in a few weeks and his ex wasn't taking care of them. She hadn't been to the apartment for a couple of weeks to take care of them. We knew we couldn't leave those poor animals there, so my mother in law took my stepson to get them and bring them home.

In another story, I wrote about how I came to adopt my cat, Nellie, and described some of the impact she had when our lives became mingled with each other. In that piece I touched very briefly on her ability to sense when I’m feeling down and comfort me.
