You're Not Succeding! Maybe Isn't All Your Fault
Why aren't we succeeding in life the way it should be?

Life is hard and sometimes forces us to find ways to overcome struggle, inducing the need to achieve more, but sometimes it seems impossible to succeed.
Why aren’t we succeeding in life the way it should be?
We can achieve so much but sometimes I think that we are stuck in a never-ending struggle. A lot of times it’s our fault because we don’t apply enough effort into it.
But today I will speak about a relevant topic that many don’t — Sometimes it‘s not your fault!
What do I mean by that? Well, the simple answer is … environment!
I feel that myself! I live with people with a completely different view of the world, meaning that I will be in a constant struggle. Difference is good, but not to the point of keeping you down.
Sometimes, these differences manifest in ways we don’t even notice right away. It’s not always about negativity or discouragement.
It could be subtle, like being surrounded by people who don’t value the same things you do. Imagine working hard toward your goals but being told over and over that those goals don’t matter. Over time, it wears on you, doesn’t it?
Remember this:
The right person in the wrong place has no future to speak of. It is infinitely harder to achieve anything!
This can be your place of work, your “friends” or even your own family that seems reluctant to give you the freedom to think for yourself. Sometimes we don’t feel that we belong there anymore.
Sometimes you wake up and feel as if your not being seen, that your efforts are futile. That feeling often comes from being in an environment that drains you.
A sunless plant, trying to grow in the absolute darkness of the abyss, where light is nowhere to be found.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will give you a few thoughts to think about:
- Do the people around you inspire you to chase your goals, or do they make you doubt yourself?
- After talking with someone, do you usually feel motivated, or do you feel discouraged?
- Do you feel like you belong and are supported in your workplace or social circles, or do you often feel like an outsider?
- Most importantly, are you happy with your life right now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sometimes we feel that there is nothing we can do and it’s hard to swallow, but we need to make a decision. Do we continue like this or move on?
And the truth is that staying in a toxic environment doesn’t just delay your growth, but stunts it. Sometimes it seems that leaving such a place is hard and almost too much for you, but that is the first step towards the freedom you always desire. The greatest changes sometimes require the strongest wells.
I know that this is not an easy thing, I’m on it myself, but we need to start analyzing life more analytically and, when we do that, we will find that some things are not helping us at all.
If you’re like me, that means that you need constant evolution and when surrounded by people who don’t think that way, it can be very painful.

Before the end of this piece, take a moment to reflect on your situation and look at yourself in the mirror. Imagine yourself in your greatest dreams and think for yourself, with no judgment, what small step you should take, but have been avoiding.
Afterward, go on a walk and talk to someone, explore new opportunities, and write every step of that journey in a diary or anywhere else. Every day do that and when you reach your goals, you will have the most amazing journey documented for eternity.
