You’re Not Broken — You’re Becoming

Sometimes falling apart is part of the plan.

By Muhammad AdilPublished 7 months ago 3 min read

There are days when you feel like nothing makes sense anymore.

You wake up with a weight on your chest that has no name.

Your heart feels heavy, your energy low, and your smile feels fake.

You begin to wonder:

“Is something wrong with me?”

No, there isn’t.

You’re not broken.

You’re becoming.

The Messy Middle is Not the End

Most people only see the success stories.

The "after" photos. The final chapters.

But they don’t talk enough about the middle—the messy, confusing, silent middle.

The part where you're trying your best but feel like you're standing still.

Where nothing seems to be working, and you start questioning your worth.

But the truth is: the middle is where transformation happens.

It’s where you shed old versions of yourself, break limiting patterns, and make space for growth.

It’s uncomfortable. It’s uncertain. It’s not Instagram-worthy.

But it’s necessary.

Just like caterpillars dissolve into mush inside the cocoon before becoming butterflies—

You’re allowed to feel lost before you find yourself.

Pain is a Sign You’re Still Alive

Sometimes pain isn’t a punishment—

It’s a sign that your heart is still beating.

That you haven’t given up.

That you're still hoping, still trying.

Think about it: if you truly didn’t care, there’d be no pain left to feel.

So, honor the ache.

Let it teach you.

Let it make you softer, not harder.

Let it remind you that you're still human—beautifully flawed, yet powerfully alive.

Not All Progress is Loud

We live in a world that celebrates loud achievements:

Promotions. Weight loss. Big wins. Public victories.

But real progress?

It’s often quiet.

It’s choosing to get out of bed when you don’t feel like it.

It’s being kind to someone even when you're hurting.

It’s not replying with anger.

It’s forgiving yourself.

It’s letting go of what you can’t control.

So don’t judge yourself based on what the world can’t see.

Celebrate your silent wins. They matter.

The Storm Won’t Last Forever

Whatever you’re going through—

This season of doubt, heartbreak, financial struggle, or burnout—

It will pass.

How do I know?

Because it always has.

Look back. You’ve survived 100% of your worst days.

Every time you thought you couldn’t go on, you did.

You may have walked slowly, you may have crawled,

but you moved forward.

And you will again.

Stop Comparing Your Chapter 2 to Someone Else’s Chapter 20

Social media has made it easy to fall into the trap of comparison.

You see people smiling, traveling, achieving, and glowing.

And you think, “Why not me?”

But remember: you’re seeing their highlight reel.

You don’t see the tears behind their smiles, the failures before the win, the loneliness behind the crowd.

You are not behind.

You are not late.

You are on your own path.

And that path is allowed to look different.

Healing Isn’t Linear — And That’s Okay

Some days you’ll feel strong.

Other days, you’ll feel like you're back at square one.

That’s normal. Healing isn’t a straight line. It’s a zigzag, a spiral, a dance.

Give yourself permission to have bad days without guilt.

Give yourself space to rest.

You’re not lazy for needing a break.

You’re not weak for feeling tired.

You’re human.

You’ve Got This (Even If It Doesn’t Feel Like It)

If you’ve read this far, there’s something in you still holding on.

Still hoping.

Still trying.

That part of you?

That’s your strength.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

You don’t need a 5-year plan.

All you need to do today is take one step.

Just one.

And if all you did was survive today, I’m proud of you.

Because sometimes, surviving is the bravest thing you can do.

Final Note to You:

This chapter won’t last forever.

The confusion, the fear, the loneliness—it’s all temporary.

You are not broken.

You are rebuilding.

You are not falling apart.

You are becoming someone stronger.

So breathe.

Rest.

Cry if you need to.

But don’t you dare give up.

Your story is still unfolding.

And the best parts?

They haven’t even happened yet.
