You Already Have What It Takes—Now Use It

Unlocking the Inner Strength You Forgot You Had

By Fazal HadiPublished 7 months ago 3 min read

There was a time I thought I needed more. More talent. More money. More connections. More of everything I didn't already have. I spent years chasing approval and perfection, constantly believing I wasn’t “there” yet. But then one day, something simple—almost embarrassingly simple—changed everything.

It started with a question from a close friend during a quiet evening walk. She turned to me and said, “What if you already have everything you need inside you, but you just haven’t given yourself permission to use it?” That question struck me like lightning. I went home that night and sat with it.

And the more I thought about it, the more it unraveled the stories I had been telling myself.

The Lies We Learn to Believe

From a young age, we’re taught to look outside ourselves for validation. A grade tells us if we’re smart. A job title says whether we’re successful. Social media likes dictate our worth. We internalize the belief that our value depends on external achievements, rather than inherent capability.

But the truth is: you’re enough, even when the world hasn’t clapped for you yet.

I used to believe that successful people were fundamentally different from me. I thought they had some magical formula or blessing I didn’t. But as I started reading biographies, listening to podcasts, and observing people I admired, I realized they weren’t superhuman. They just made a decision I hadn’t made yet: they used what they already had.

The Turning Point

I remember sitting at my desk, paralyzed by self-doubt. I had a dream to write a book, but every time I opened my laptop, a voice in my head whispered, “Who are you to do this?”

Then I remembered that walk, that question. And I asked myself something new:

"What if I just start with what I have—right now?"

So I did.

I started writing. Not perfectly. Not even confidently. But I started. And day by day, word by word, I discovered something incredible: my power had been waiting for me to stop waiting.

You Don’t Need Permission—Just Courage

The truth is, most of us are far more capable than we allow ourselves to be. We wait for the perfect time, the right circumstances, or someone else's approval before we act. But the perfect time never comes. The circumstances are never ideal. And the only approval you actually need is your own.

The difference between who you are and who you want to be isn’t a missing skill—it’s unused courage.

You already have the intelligence, the compassion, the intuition, the creativity. What’s missing is the belief that it’s enough. And that belief? That’s a choice.

The Power of Doing It Anyway

Confidence doesn't come first—action does. The more you use your voice, your ideas, your effort, the more those internal muscles grow. You can’t build self-trust by thinking about doing the work. You build it by doing the work even when you're scared.

When you show up, something remarkable happens: you begin to see your own strength. And it changes everything. That’s when you start moving from, “I hope I can” to, “I know I can.”

A Note to the Dreamers

If you're reading this and thinking, "But I’m not ready", I get it. Truly. But let me tell you something important:

You don’t have to feel ready to be ready.

You just have to begin.

Start with the tools you have. Speak with the voice you already possess. Show up with the heart that’s been shaped by your unique story. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being authentically, powerfully, boldly you—as you are right now.

The Moral:

You already have what it takes.

Not in some distant future version of yourself, but in this exact moment.

The key is to stop waiting and start using it.

Your life won’t change when you become “more.” It will change the moment you trust what’s already within you.
