Where Nothing Meets Something
Deep Down Within

Nobody could have told me that "nothing" was the beginning of a wonderful "something." And I don't mean small, gray and dry something, I mean break out in dance with the sun in your back mirror something. In my nothing, my life began to shine like never before. I could never see it for years. Why? Well, in the shadows of others big accomplishments, ideas, larger than life world renown progresses, I was invisible. I was the shade that we pull down to cover us from the sun, the door lock you never remember unless someone is breaking in your car, the tag in your shoe that is never looked upon. And that space was so uncomfortable, so unreliable, so blah. So, in my loss of everything, but life, I am now without the monstrous beauty of others, but consumed with the fullness of me. And you know what, there is where the magic begins. There is where I began to take life. I began to be seen. And at this very moment in your life, you should be seen too.
In this place called life, we all are attempting to find our way. We are all attempting to become what we want or become what is deemed normal. We are trying to fit in to feel the love that was lost when we were lost. And when you are living life with that occupational hazard, you can find yourself losing your way. You can find yourself without the breath to keep moving along because you are tired of living a lie. I can understand. When I was in my “nothing,” everyone else’s opinions mattered. When I was in my “nothing” it was hard to see through the clouds of everyone else’s wants and needs. I lived a sort of humdrum life, going and coming to the same drum. The music of my creativity, of my specialness was hidden in the sea of others. But breaking free changed how I wanted to live. It gave me a new pep in my step, a new dance to dance. You and I are a lot alike. We were both in need of a positive overhaul to bring out the very magic that is buried deep within. We are both searching and seeking this without truly knowing, the answer is right there within ourselves.
So how do we do it? How do we learn to capture the very essence of beauty within ourselves that we didn’t even know existed? We must ask ourselves one question. This question is a conundrum because if we try too hard to answer it, it becomes something more consuming than we’d ever imagine. We must see the question as a steppingstone to one’s identity. The question can give you hope for it triggers a light within you to begin to see the possibilities. Not like before, when the nothingness of your life was based on the lives of others, this question helps you embark on a journey of self-realization or to a place of true fulfillment. And both places will help you capture the truth of who you really are. And isn’t that what we’ve always wanted? To know who we really are? I asked myself this wonderful and easy question to help me see that I was all that I needed to become the “I” I always wanted to be. And you too, will have that life changing, “ah-ha” moment, once you decide to dig in and answer this question with ease and an open mind. So, what is this life changing question? To go where nothing meets something, where your inner self is hidden deep, down within, you must ask yourself, “Who are you?”
