Words that people have used to describe me: Down-to-earth, kind, generous, spontaneous, flexible, adaptable. Yet, the term down-to-earth sticks to me the most. People in my life have used this to describe me, and I never really thought twice of the meaning of it until very recently. It means I am in touch with reality and reasonable, which I completely agree. Lately, it seems that we are so out of touch with reality, and I think that AI has a lot to do with it. We use AI more than we care to admit, to make videos, to envision the perfect dream home, to help us write that email that we have been worried about writing to your boss or an external stakeholder. It does make our lives easier, but it takes away certain elements such as creativity, thinking and thinking critically, solving problems, and writing code. Our brains are getting lazy because of AI. The greatest philosophers of our time have said numerous quotes about creativity, and here we are crushing it. For example, the philosopher Epictetus once said: "Nothing great is created suddenly, any more than a bunch of grapes or a fig. If you tell me that you desire a fig, I answer you that there must be time. Let it first blossom, then bear fruit, then ripen." This tells us in order to create something great will take time, we cannot keep expecting AI to do the great work for us. Besides, what lives in one's mind is probably better than anything AI can do.
I confess I've used AI when I am stumped when it comes to writing a story here on Vocal, but I read a story on this platform titled "21 Things I'd Rather do Than Read your AI Generated Story." Sure, this was mostly about music but the author made some points with which I could not agree more. AI content is generic and boring because it is not a human mind. We are the only ones that can actually use creativity. Another great philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche said "One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star," and more often than not the artists that are most iconic are the ones that tried to be different such as Lady GaGa, Elton John, they were so different from everyone else that they stood out and once you hear those names you immediatly know who they are.
Can we stop for a second? Can we realize that creativity comes from within and when we use AI use it for helping you create the world you want not for doing the work for you. Example would be to use AI to create an image of your main character of your book so you can see what they look like and post it on your story board then start to write your book while you have pictures of all the characters.
If you are considering to get engaged to your AI boyfriend just get outside and touch the grass. Know what is to be real and what is fantasty. Drink from the stream and get your hands wet, let the cold water touch you. Feel what is real don’t let reality slip through your fingers. The world has a lot of world views where we are easily distracted, offended and our beliefs can be easily manipulated through AI. Our world will never be the same since AI was introduced. Even my job can be easily replaced by AI but our reality is also being morphed. So please run outside, feel the sun on your face, embrace the cold you feel because that’s what’s real. Don’t be looking into your cellphone while walking your dog. We need time to unplug and enjoy our life for what it is.

Hi, I read your story and I really liked it. It seems like you are a professional writer because you give each scene its own unique value, which very few people manage to do. I really liked your work it was very, very good. Actually, I’m just a casual reader, and I really enjoy reading stories. and I liked it a lot, too. Also, how long have you been doing this work?
