“Dance to Create” is unique compared to other organizations in the dance space is that it’s focused on helping school aged children ages 8-17 freestyle dance through their mental health challenges. What sets us apart is that no prior dance experience is required it’s all about expression, healing, and building confidence through movement.

The TM Twins’, brand has helped create visibility and credibility for Dance to Create. The TM Twins aim to serve as role models for the youth ,showing them how to present themselves in a positive and professional way while using their platform to uplift and inspire others.

Dance plays a powerful role in personal growth especially for school-aged girls. It allows them to express their emotions in a healthy way, and when dance makes you feel good, confidence naturally follows. That’s the energy we of every Dance to Create dance session!

Dance to Create empower students of the program to gain life skills far beyond dance itself. Students walk away with a stronger sense of dedication, discipline, teamwork, and performance skills that carry over into their everyday lives.

What’s Next for Dance to Create?

We’re planning to expand our nonprofit program into more schools and youth organizations. We believe every child should have access to a safe, creative outlet where they can move freely and be themselves.

We’re also excited about a future collaboration with Girls Who Brunch, another nonprofit organization that aligns with our mission to uplift and empower young girls.

Tell our readers more about the “Dance to Create” Method.

While we primarily teach freestyle, our approach really depends on the group we’re working with. Not everyone who joins our classes identifies as a dancer—and that’s okay! We meet them where they are. That said, our core styles are jazz and hip-hop, which are both high-energy and expressive.

If we had to describe our style in three words, we’d say: strong, independent, and creative.

What Inspired the two of you to start this movement ?

Our audience on social platforms connects most with dance and fashion, and both have heavily influenced our path as young entrepreneurs. Our time at Clark University has played a big role too, surrounding us with like-minded students, and giving us access to successful Black entrepreneurs and entertainers who educate and inspire us.

What’s it like running an organization as twins sisters?

Being both sisters and business partners can be a handful sometimes. Even though we think a lot alike, we do have different opinions, which can lead to disagreements. When that happens, we try to meet each other halfway or we’ll bring in our executive director to help us come to a resolution.

What does managing time between being students yourselves and running a nonprofit look like?

Balancing school, social life, and business is a challenge but we make it work by planning ahead. At the beginning of each week, we fill out a shared calendar to stay organized and accountable. We also make sure to schedule rest days, which are just as important as our work days.

Why is mental health important to both of you?

Our passion for mental health came from understanding what young girls and boys go through during their middle school years. That time can be incredibly hard kids can be judgmental, and many struggle with low self-esteem. We wanted to create a judgment-free zone, where youth could feel seen, heard, and supported. That’s what sparked Dance to Create.

About Dance To Create:

Dance To Create, Inc. was born from a passion to help young girls express themselves through movement. Founded by the TM Twins, the program began as a way to combine their love of dance, choreography and technique with a desire to support youth mental health. We plan to reach as many underserved communities, schools and dance programs possible to aid in creating a safe, expressive space where girls can heal, grow, and shine through the art of dance.

Dance To Create, Inc. is dedicated to supporting and maintaining the physical, emotional, and creative well-being of girls ages 8–17. Through freestyle dance, choreography and technical training, we help young girls process emotions, build confidence, and become stronger—inside and out.

Our mission is to create a safe, expressive space for youth to feel seen, heard, and celebrated. Our unique programming blends movement, emotional expression, and community building—transforming lives one class at a time.
