First, I’ll tell you another secret: most individuals don’t truly want to lose weight. They don’t want to at all. Already at the first meeting, socially imposed standards of attractiveness immediately fall off, and the most exciting thing begins—a sincere request. And when it comes to a request at the initial consultation, it can change 2–3 times or more. Well, more on that later.

Many individuals require a “magic pill” to "eat,” and everything will immediately magically improve. Such fantastic childish thinking. Or there are those who are searching for someone authoritative, who will make the right decision for them, give counsel, solve the problem, so that all the time and… well, you understand.

Taking responsibility for your life and making decisions is not simple for everyone, and sometimes it takes a long time to learn.

Also with excess weight. There is no safe “magic pill"; there are 3 basic points that need to be modified. Ready? These are sleep, food, and physical activity. And in order to achieve this simply and with pleasure, you must have psychological wellness. And this is where the genuine request comes into play. That is why everything is not as straightforward as it sounds.

For example, a person wishes to weigh 50 kg. After all, this is exactly what the scales indicated 20 years ago, when there was no husband, a load of children, and thousands of duties. There was freedom of choice, ease of decision-making (go to a club with friends or rush to another city for the weekend or sleep around at home, beneath a blanket, watching a TV series), no commitments, and invasive family members. Do you see? It’s not about weight at all, but about the lifestyle and state of mind. And I’ll tell you, 95% of them are like that. Work on personal boundaries, self-care skills, slight adjustments to relationships if necessary, and the integrity of the individual is restored. Well, the cherished numbers on the scales are starting to approach.

Or another example. The woman could not lose weight. No matter what she did, even the 2–3 kg she lost rapidly returned to its place, also with "friends." It took more than one session before we figured out the true reason for such resistance. The reason turned out to be a jealous husband. As soon as the beauty regained her former beauty a little, controversies instantly erupted in the household. It was unbearable for her; therefore, it was better to give up trying. As soon as this rationale was exposed, the job went like clockwork. Strengthened personal boundaries and self-confidence have produced fruit. Minus 4 sizes in six months.

During my experiments, I informed a few of my clients almost immediately about the specific steps they needed to do in order to shed some pounds. The instructions that she provided regarding sleep, eating, and physical exercise were quite explicit, and she even recorded the meals. However, that is not how it works at all. It is necessary to spend at least one month in order to develop a new habit or a new quality. So that it becomes something natural, at the level of a reflex. This could be the habit of going to bed no later than ten in the evening, or drinking water, or practicing exercises for at least 5–15 minutes every day. Or learn to say no.

After all, many people know all this, and it’s not at all difficult, right? However, it takes at least six months of work to integrate at least a few of these relatively healthy behaviors into a person’s life.

There are usually a lot of moving parts involved in this task (desire, motivation, request, actual request, feelings, body, rational and unconscious, etc.). I refer to myself as a psycho-nutritionist because of this reason. What kind of animal is this, as it is now abundantly clear?
