The Evolution Of My Writing On Vocal
As I See It

Introduction
I wanted a picture that would describe what I do when I create my stories and pieces on Vocal, and I gave Nightcafe this prompt:
"Words Of A Book Turning Into Creatures and People"
It gave me a picture I could use, but it is just AI art, not real art, but it will do for this article.
I love writing poetry and fiction, and I have to thank Vocal for giving me the tools to do that, and my Vocal friends and audience for their continual support and encouragement. You can see a few that I rate highly in my Creationati that are on my profile, and you can see them at the end of this article.
The music is "Genius Of Love" by Tom Tom Club because I do love creating, and it makes me feel like a genius, because where there was nothing, there is now something.
My Evolution
When I started on Vocal, I wasn't sure what to write, so I followed the Challenges and other prompts. When I started, the prizes were much higher, and there were not as many per challenge.
There are thirteen current challenges with a top prize of $200 for 5 winners and 25 runners-up prizes, which I see as an improvement:
This was the first-ever Vocal Challenge with a first prize of $2,500 and two runners-up prizes of $1,000 and $500.
I wrote this piece on Challenges from the beginning:
I am lucky that I can find inspiration in almost anything, and while Facebook is exasperating at times, it is a great way of connecting with people, and it has resulted in me finding inspiration from a lot of pages that share art, original and very old, amazing pieces.
I found the art of Angie Livingstone, The Glittering Fox, on Facebook and we have been come friends and collaborate to create a wonderful book that we published on Amazon.
These are a few reviews, and of of these is from a Vocal Creator (I think)

Here is one of my poems inspired by her work, with a link to her Facebook page:
I always link my sources, and more and more I seem to be taking the art I find as inspirations for my writing.
The Enchanted Booklet is a particularly rich source of inspiration for my work. Here is a recent borrow, I just thought the image was so unusual.
I keep thinking there are too many artists for me to follow, but I suppose by using their work as inspiration for my creations, I give them a tiny bit of extra exposure, and they give me a story or poem.
This is one from the wonderful Amanda Clark (EarthAngelsArt)
I just found Fat Cat Art and this beautifully cute picture:
Spectral Insomnia provides darker images, and one resulted in this story:
Ed Orgs is another recent discovery for me. His art is beautiful and detailed, as you can see here:
I am a great music lover, and album cover artwork provides the inspiration for a few of my stories, such as this one:
Another wonderful artist I became acquainted with is Carl B Parker and this is a poem that was inspired by his work:
Sometimes I use my Vocal stories to share the work of artists like Allan Kirk
Conclusion
I was wondering which Vocal community to put this in. It's about my writing, so maybe it should be in writers. Then it features a lot of art and is about how art drives much of my work, so maybe it should be in Art.
But overall, it is about motivation and things that drive me to create, so I think it goes in the Motivation Vocal community.
Thank you for giving me a little of your time to read this; it is truly appreciated.

Thank you for giving us a peek into your writing process and evolution. I always find it interesting to see how other writers write and how their writing has evolved over time. It's intriguing to see how your inspiration has branched out from the challenges and prompts here on Vocal to art and other inspiration all over the place, including on Facebook. It shows that inspiration can come from anywhere.
Mr. Mike you always give us something to think about for our own writings. Good job.
