All it took was ten seconds staring into your eyes…
Those honey brown eyes screamed danger at birth,
But they were meant to meet mine here on this earth.
We’ve created our own galaxy as our stare intensifies,
Leaving me completely breathless and mortified.
Ten seconds turns into days, nights, months,
Never did we turn back once.
Our hearts blossom as they are sewn together,
While your existence sweeps me off my feet, like a feather.
My heart learns about spring,
As you help me gain my angel wings.
With spring comes new growth,
And this season yells at us both.
Your love encompasses me with challenges,
As we discover our balances.
A Tsunami of differences did not stop us,
But lack of communication almost left us in the dust.
Obsessed with the thought that you’ll be mine forever,
We continue on this journey together.
In an instant what once was mine was owned by the heavens,
And here were my first impressions;
In a moment I was separated from my heart,
As my whole being yearns to find a spark.
In a moment the sunlight no longer lingers on my face,
It desperately fights to find its way into my place.
In a moment everything freezes from the winter cold,
As if everything that once had color had been sold.
When a heart breaks, does it bleed?
And at what speed does it leak?
When a heart breaks, does it heal?
And will what you feel become real…again?
When a heart breaks, is the chest pain vernal?
And will this devastating state be eternal?
This excruciating sorrow dwells deep within,
Searches for release and relief as a new season begins.
The sky now spells your name,
My world acknowledges your fame.
Our countenance shines with love in rich supply,
When we learn to love ourselves and never wonder why.
Perfection is jealous of first love.
How the story starts and ends is far flung from perfection,
First love travels in many directions.
