The human brain is a powerful tool, especially when we disconnect from modern technology. In the midst of depression, difficult times, and even death, Google and other resources cannot provide the answers we seek. We are left alone with our thoughts, and our brains can lead us down dark paths if we do not learn to control them. Hard work is the key to success, and we must tell our brains where we want to go and how to get there. This is particularly important when facing challenges such as passing a test or achieving a goal.

I began learning by writing out everything I did repeatedly until I mastered it. For instance, despite being negative buoyant, I kept practicing swimming until I got it right. I trained myself to never give up and to keep trying until I succeeded. When I was a Navy SEAL training people, I was able to complete the program in 18 months, which was unheard of. I learned that by pushing yourself to your limits, you can adapt and overcome challenges. For a short period of time, I lived in a place that cost $7 a month, and that was my norm. However, when we moved to a place that cost $236 a month, I realized I never wanted to go back to my previous situation.

If you return to the place where I live, which costs only seven dollars a month, you will see that it's not much, but it's all I have. When I was training to become a Navy SEAL for 18 months, I faced many challenges and hardships, but I told myself that this was my new normal. Even though my body was breaking down and I was suffering every day from stress fractures and other injuries, I pushed myself to keep going. My mind became stronger and more determined, and I refused to give up. I became the boss, the owner, and the CEO of the Navy SEAL training program in my own mind, and I persevered through the hellish experience. This is how I got through it, by immersing myself in the challenge and refusing to give up.

Wherever you find yourself, become the best version of yourself. When I was on tours in '97, I weighed 197 pounds and was as fat as hell, trying to become a Navy SEAL. The scariest thing to me, even to this day, was that I could have spent the rest of my life like that. Back then, I thought I was trying hard, but looking back, I realize I wasn't even close to my full potential. At 106 pounds less, after graduating Navy SEAL training, I realized how little I knew about trying hard. People need to understand that we have no idea what we're capable of until we start trying hard and become obsessed with it. This is when we know that we're really trying hard. It's not always fun, and it's not meant to be. But when we push ourselves to the limit, it gives us a feeling of invincibility. My story may seem sadistic to some, but I've figured out how the brain works by researching the mind. Despite being a scared kid with no foundation, I've built myself up to be powerful.

It is important to recognize that there may be times when one cannot continuously perform at their best. There are certain situations in which it may be necessary to seek out a living space that can accommodate one's needs. It is possible to push oneself through physical pain and perform tasks that others may not be willing to do. This is due to the power of the sympathetic nervous system's fight or flight response, which provides a surge of energy. Despite being at a disadvantage, it is possible to draw strength from the feeling of persevering through difficult circumstances. Rather than focusing on the fact that one is broken, it can be more empowering to recognize that despite being broken, one is still fighting and determined to overcome obstacles. When faced with challenging situations, the brain often switches into survival mode, causing anger to dissipate and motivation to take over.

There is a desire to prove oneself to others, to show them what one is capable of. However, this desire must come from a deeper place than just the surface level. It must be rooted in the very core of one's being, down to the mineral soil where nothing can burn. This requires spending a significant amount of time with one's true passions in life, as it cannot be given to someone else. For the speaker, this passion is serving their country as a Navy SEAL and being someone they can be proud of. They want to be loved by others, but more importantly, they want to love themselves. While some may argue that peace must come before suffering, the speaker believes that one must go through the pain and struggle in order to find true peace.

Achieving inner peace requires going through trials, tribulations, and suffering, as well as being accountable every day for doing what is right for yourself and those around you. This accountability can be challenging and difficult, even in the smallest details.
