The Reason I Started a Newsletter about Self-Improvement
Temp check We’re at a unique time in history. The world is changing, and these are uncertain times. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen society more divided, angry, and fearful. While the rest of the world was losing their minds from Covid and political hysteria, I can honestly say 2020 has been one of the best years of my life. I achieved a lot this year and I put in place daily habits that I know are going to help me achieve more in the future. The world is too focused on problems. According to the centers for disease control and prevention, suicide rates rose between 1997 and 2017 to heights not seen since World War II. Suicide rates are rising with both Men and Women from all ethnic groups. But the most disturbing thing to me is the rate of suicide is rising between people ages 15-34. And all this is before the pandemic.

It is time
Nowadays even though it’s the same thing people have dealt with for generations through generations I wonder if people are going to quit acting like the unknown will heal our problems, because it won’t work that way. The only way we can make things work is by praying for our situation and putting our self into action of staying positive through our hurt and maintaining a steady mood that things can and will get better.

Sometimes You Gotta Ask Yourself Part 2
When I suffer from writers' block, I look back on old pieces and dissect my mindset during that time. Three years ago, I wrote an article, "Sometimes You Gotta Ask Yourself," and within that article answered questions I would ask myself all of the time and never knew the answers. After reading those answers, I didn't know who I was; I did not know myself, and it isn't very reassuring. Here I was at thirty-two years old, attempting to figure out my thoughts. The article didn't even have a proper introduction or purpose. During that time, I wanted to use this platform just to let my thoughts control the space. The only creative thing I did was learn how to put a GIF as the main photo. I frequently have to remind myself that I did all of those articles in 2018 on my phone. There was a fire inside of me that needed to come out, and I didn't have the proper tools to express myself and curate the article as I wanted. I decided to answer these questions again from a thirty-four-year-old mindset that has been in therapy for two years and on her healing journey. To view my original answers, I click the link within the article.

I Want To Be Somebody Else
I want to be somebody rather than just some body. I want to be somebody who is nice, kind, and sweet. In a world full of hate I want to be somebody else. A somebody not damaged from the world's repair but rather i'd like to be somebody that admits the wrongs of humanity and set the bar for reminding others that health and healing are far more important than just ignoring what the way of life is trying to teach us. People may wonder what could life ever teach us.

Backwards or forwards. It's your choice
The other day I took Penny for a walk on the twisted trails that meander through the north end of Thacher park. It’s been a bit warm and rainy in the hill towns lately so I was taking a gamble even going to this part of the park. But a quiet secluded walk in the woods was in need and this has quickly become my new favorite spot. So, I laced up my boots, bundled up, grabbed some water and out the door we went.
