Self help, because you are your greatest asset.
STAY AWAY FROM TOXIC PEOPLE
Some people are toxic. Very, very toxic. These people just naturally have a poor outlook on, well, just about everything. For whatever reason, they just can’t seem to find the good in people or situations. These people will manipulate you into believing that everything you do is wrong. They will purposely try to sabotage goals that you have set for yourself. They will threaten you. They will bully you. They will see how far they can push you until they break you mentally. They will lie to you and say they want the best for you. They will gain your trust, only to turn their back on you. They will make you look like scum to everyone. Because of them, you will lose friends (because people don’t know how to think for themselves). Wait a second. Everything that I just wrote sounds like the traits of a narcissist. Yes. Yes, those are all traits of a narcissist as well.

I'm Starting My Self-Improvement Journey
It has been a long time since I last wrote, a lot of things had been happening in my life. I was pestered by the monotony of my life in current times, my personal and career growth plateaued, even after multiple tries to revamp my life, I failed miserably. I tried a lot of things, first of which were books, starting from productivity books to books on focus and the list continues. But the major factor I was lacking was on the part of accountability. Hence, I am starting this self-improvement series, where I will be reading different self-help books and will experiment its effects on my life. This is an attempt to improve my life as well as helping the audiences reading this in their own journey as well.

A Better Us
Imagine this, we all live in a world where everything is peaceful. People are truly happy and living their best lives in whatever way fits them, everyone is healthy, we all look after each other, and there is little to no anger, hate, or jealousy towards one another. Crime is at an all time low, families and communities are stable, and there is almost no abuse of any kind, whether it’s with substances or towards other people and even living creatures.

Motivation Means Giving Yourself Permission to Succeed
Are you afraid of failure? Don’t take that question as an assault to your character. You might be the most driven individual. You want very badly to succeed at everything you do. The dreams you have are fueled by motivation to see them become realities.

Manipulate Energy To Achieve Your Desires
I try to live each day with the realization that I am the creator of my reality. I am not one to believe that destiny has been planned for us before we are even conceived. I feel that we decide our life's path, for better or for worse through our journey of self-exploration. With each choice we make, whether a large one or insignificant, we are paving the way for our future selves.

Bed Making
For some reason or other, I find a peculiar pleasure in the simple chore of making my bed. Every morning I get up early and read for some time, then go back upstairs to execute the task. It is always more enjoyable when done slightly later in the morning, so that the time allotted to the daily duty conveniently chips into the time which should be spent on the more pressing labors of the day. If the enterprise is to be properly laid to rest, absolute immaculate perfection must be achieved. Everything must be tucked in neatly, with corners folded in the proper naval fashion. In a typical day, I spend about twenty minutes carefully tailoring the bed to near perfection. There are times when fortune smiles down upon me, and my younger siblings demolish my tour de force in their eagerness to jump, frolic, and destroy. After calling them off from their rampages, I feign distress then repeat the task with hidden enthusiasm, taking as much care and applying the same exacting expectations as before. Then of course, even if I am not so fortunate, it still holds that the neatness begins to wear off as the day grows older, and I am inclined to go back to my room to restore the original splendor by tucking in a few loose areas and smoothing out any unbecoming wrinkles.

Regrets are useless
Here I am, just another dying human, fighting to draw yet another breath. I have wasted so many years of my life, but now every second counts and matter. Until just a few breaths ago, I was certain I lived a good life. I was a good person; I helped many people; I loved, and I was loved. I watched my children grow and even got to see them with children of their own. Until just a few breaths ago, I thought that was enough. But a thought rose, and then a memory, and then another, and another – not of things I have done, but of all I didn’t. An entire secret lifetime hidden within those empty spaces I never got to experience, holding on to the familiar or what I so firmly wanted to believe is the “right thing to do”. A flood of emotions washed over me, each one a moment where I could have made a different choice, a crossroad to a different life, maybe less “safe” but more rewarding, or useful, or enriching. I never realized how many of these moments I pushed away and how many times Life generously offered them again. How could I have not seen it then?

7 Simple Things to Do Tonight to Make Tomorrow a Better Day
There's one important thing I've learned about happiness after more than a decade of reading every personal development book under the sun: it doesn't just happen. Happiness is a state of mind that we must intentionally nurture in our lives on a regular basis. It's something I do on a regular basis. We must do things that make us feel warm and fuzzy on a regular basis. Finding ways to wake up happier, which frequently boils down to going to bed happier, is one of the keys.
