TBI Recovery: Plateaus and Setbacks
Set-backs are normal The first six months after a TBI are where the most significant gains are made in recovery. It is very common for progress to appear to stall or plateau at that time, or any point in time in the recovery. It is also common to see relapses or setbacks. We have to be mindful to not push too hard and to monitor for signs that say “slow down” or “time for a change.”

Truth is the biggest immunity booster
Spiritually speaking, if we have a similar experience over and over again, it often means that we have not learnt the required lesson from it the very first time. Every incident takes place to impart some teaching, or to cut our previous karmas. With the Covid-19 pandemic waves coming back again and again, Nature seems to be asking us to transform, go back to being our natural self, and embrace truth in our actions, thoughts and deeds. Now is the time to prepare to be a sahi human – real human; being saral, sahaj, and samanya – uncomplicated, easy and normal, the way Nature wants us to be. And by shedding all our acquired mannerisms, we can grow to become a Being of Light.

Live Another Day
Moonlight cast its light and total darkness had become asunder. The frigid wind chill shook the foundation of her deep concentration and resoluteness. She stood up from the creaky wooden steps and lit the old porch light with her pocket zippo. Shortly, moths gravitated to its warmth and luminosity. She marveled at their joy and excitement but could not empathize. Although she was empty, she had a very important choice to make.

Change your mindset, change your life!
Have you ever received so many signs from life that you weren't supposed to go in that direction? I once did and it hit me in the form of a freight train grinding me to a total standstill. It was clearly the biggest and clearest sign that I would ever receive that I wasn't doing what was right for me, by any means.

Elder Vision
What if I told you there was a vision in America long before Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. had his dream. In no way am I trying to discredit or shy away from all the wonders and wisdom Martin Luther King Jr. brought into this world either. I want to use this platform as a way to inform those who read this a little bit about my own culture. That is the Indigenous Anishinaabe people of North America. I don’t want to get into the tragic events that took place because I like to look at the brighter sides of the picture, but if you haven’t learned about what really happened to my people to the core, I'd look into it. I don’t just mean the basic grade school history either because they sure do love to leave a lot of information out of those textbooks.

Remembering Our Last Golden Girl
I think it goes without saying that despite her age of ninety-nine, everyone was shocked by the death of Betty White on New Year’s Eve. Given how long her career has spanned through her work on television and movies, along with her animal activism work, it’s safe to say those who loved her believed she would somehow just live forever, or that she would at least live to see her one hundredth birthday. However, this isn’t what happened. We did lose Betty White on New Year’s Eve, and what we have are the warm memories of Betty White coming into our homes and more or less becoming a member of our families.

Meditation Sensation
For years now I thought of myself as half-assed spiritual person. I care about people. I believe, follow, read and watch all the "woo woo" I can get into. I have a wide array of crystals and an extensive pile of prayer beads & malas. It's not just for show because nobody sees these things really. They are mostly confined to the sanctuary that is my home. These are really intended to be reminders to ME to stay focused on spiritual balance and not to get all caught up in the problems and pleasures of the physical realm because I truly do believe we are spiritual beings, eminations of God, living a human existence and as all of us humans know, it ain't easy!

Gadget Queens 👸
Growing up I use to think that I was ugly. I found that beauty comes from more than how you look. Beauty comes from how you think of yourself and how you maintain your intelligence. Beauty also comes from the soul and the heart. If you have a bad attitude towards people, life and things do you think that you would still be considered a beautiful person? Take a moment to look into who your are to determine how beautiful you will become. I use to tell myself I wasn’t worth anything being the situation I came up in. I never folded though I treated everyone with care and the thought of protection I wouldn’t let anybody hurt someone I love. I couldnt sit around and see people not amount to anything that I cared about. I work hard being Resilient and persistence all that made me grow Into a beautiful flower . I may have done some things to lower my value and my flower died but not because of anybody else but because of me I killed my flower and had to get another one. When a rose die it losses it’s color and it’s smell. When a flower dies it looses it petals I like to look at it in different ways to give more understanding. One day I noticed that I didn’t love my self the way I pertrade it wasn’t the same as I was before. I lost love for myself I just didn’t want to be here anymore. When a person fill unlike themselves they will endanger themselves with out thinking about it. I wanted to die on more than one occasions. Something strong and powerful kept holding on to me because of the love I gave and the care I put into everything. When I tell you I lived in fear but maybe that’s what kept me beautiful. Because even though I came from a certain situation I just knew that there would be brighter days. When I tell you I wasn’t wrong I was completely right. Even though my belief system wasn’t strong I still believed that I could make it somewhere I have big dreams. It takes more than looks to determine how beautiful you are and that’s the truth. Being told that you are not good and being showed negative things could sometimes make you feel like your worthless. Those things still doesn’t make you worthless they make you strong. Being treated by family, friends and associates like you don’t matter and these are the same people you would bend over backwards for you loose your petals your rose dies and therefore you feel unworthy not beautiful. I did say that beauty comes in all shapes in forms didn’t I. My beauty came from who I am not what I look like even though both are equally Beautiful. It’s more than putting on make-up or personal health how you feel when you take care of those things will be the determination of how beautiful you are. You feel good in the morning when you wake up and get dressed you feel beautiful but the attitude of not wanting or can’t is holding you back which can be an horrible outcome, notice that your blocking your positive energy your beautiful energy because of the side of the bed you rolled out of that morning, or because of the people that you see and you don’t like caused you to act ugly. Just like beauty your looks can change and your feelings for a person can change also. Don’t ever think for one second you aren’t beautiful even if it’s not enough to you and that you can’t change to become beautiful.
