healing
How to heal fully and properly.
A Goal Aspired.
I don't want to write the next great American novel. True, I do have some amazing dreams for writing, including exploring several genres and languages that I don't even know yet. However, I am learning that creating novels like those that still reside in my head takes time. It is a slow and sometimes tedious process. But let me tell you, it is worth it! My current project has been more than three years in the making. I don't include a lot from that project here, as I'd like to wait until I have a finished product. My goal is to create a graphic novel, with three points of view: a sour rebel, a bouncy stabilizer, and a dreamy go-getter. All of these characters have strengths and weaknesses. All of these characters are from different backgrounds. All of these characters are different races. All of these characters are teens. And all of these characters are forced to interact closely with each other.

13 Reasons Why
Dear student, How do I begin to tell you how thankful I am that you came into my life many years ago? I am grateful for you and my gratitude has helped me connect to something larger than myself, to other people, to nature and to a higher power.

Day Dreamers
A few days ago, my son lost one of his best friend’s to brutality and violence . Nonsense, that made way for his untimely death . A new journey in death, unfortunately , comes to those who have been minimized to face it . Time was used to destroy instead of rebuilding. Life is about definition . It’s about what we all define . When we waste time - time leaves without an explanation . Time records all accounts in life , with or without a definition . Time to kill means self destruction. Murderers define value in death. In death, there’s no rebuilding. There’s no time spent, no dream left to live , only failure to become and or create . The truth that once lived in many victims , can never be rebuilt or redeemed. The time I needed to assume my purpose in life has come, but now I wish I had seen it sooner . Perhaps I could have saved a life, prevented destruction, or changed a future?

Growth in ourselves
Gratitude Does Wonders Sometimes we have to realize that we are never alone. Someone is always with us in those times when we need them. Even when we lose people they stay with us in times when we miss them. The lives we live matter because we are so blessed to live them. We are needing to be grateful for being where we are right now.

Plant The Seed
If you can be anything, be kind. A saying used often but filled with truth on how we should treat another person. In a world where we see more division and chaos one act of kindness has the power to tip the scale. It begins with us becoming humble and doing something that touches the heart of a total stranger. It starts with us looking at our own selfishness and casting it aside.

The Story of a Goodbye
My mother. Two words that can pull the full spectrum of emotions from my core. She was the first love I would know as well as the first heartbreak. When I'm doing something I know is wrong, hers is the voice I hear in my head. I don't know if there is a "typical" mother/son relationship, but if there is ours was a world away. Our life together was a rollercoaster ride and our goodbye was beautiful.

One calendar at a time.
I'm not exacly sure where to start with this one, I am more of a person who writes short stories, novels, and chapter books. But the more I do things the more I come to understand that I don't know even half of what I am doing, am I going to continue writing books? am I going to work hard so I can stop working that 9-5 and finally do something that I feel I was more born to do?
