After the Storm
Many areas in the world have been having severe weather lately. There have been snow storms, blizzards, rain storms and flooding that brought a lot of wide spread destruction across the United States. Most people hunkered down and waited for the storm to pass. It is a natural instinct to tell yourself, "at some point the storm will be over." Then what? What happens after the storm has stopped? There is always an assessment period that follows a storm. Perhaps there's been flood damage, trees down, power outages, accidents or worse. It becomes time to survey the damage, estimate the cost and make a plan to repair what has been damaged. Immediately people spring into action, work together to find solutions and rectify the issues. Time to repair comes immediately after the disaster.

I have a fear of running, so what?
All of us have at least one fear that seems completely irrational. Something that when we confide in someone about it, we often follow with "I know silly, right?" or "I know it's stupid" or "I know I shouldn't be but...". The 'I knows' that follows our fear that is completely valid yet, so many of us feel like they are invalid when we share.

Mommy's Birthday Break
It seems that after we spend nine months carrying tiny versions of ourselves only to lose our identities to this one role. Motherhood. For me, at least, I have lost myself in motherhood. Every single day I wake up and do the exact same thing. I get my daughter ready to go to my grandmother's house a handful of days out of the week so that I can go to work. The days my daughter is home with me our mornings are busy with breakfast, learning some new ASL signs, and watching Song For Littles. (Rachel is a huge celeb in our household). This, followed by many attempts to study, complete assignments, and submit projects on time. I love our life together. Being my daughter's mother is my very favorite part of life. Raising a one year old has been so much fun. The not so dope part about it is, sometimes I feel like it is all that I do.

Death: What Is It Like?
This list called to me. Why? Because I've died. Twice. I don't remember the first time because I was only 4, however, I do remember the second time. I wish I could give you a deep encounter with pearly gates and a world that looked to be created by Thomas Kinkade, but sadly, I only remember darkness. As I'm sure I cannot satisfy this article to the fullest without telling you briefly how I died, so I will.
