This Is Trash: An Open Letter to My 20s—Reigning Women
Okay. I'm not going to waste any time on this one. For those of you who are in your 20s as well, you know all too well that your 20s are as complicated, stupid, confusing, and much, much more. So much to the point that it's actually humorous to a degree.

Unwrap Your Presence...
In the past few years, I have most certainly become more present than I have ever been before. The twists and turns of life have a way of showing us when to listen and when to speak or act. It seems that we are constantly getting advice from others as to what we should do and how we should do it. But the truth remains that we all can learn a thing or two from just being present.

Finding Balance
I can’t be the only one who is sick and tired of being tired of telling people that everything is going great! It takes an insurmountable amount of energy to act like you have all of your life put together. I don’t like how we live in a society where we are pressured to make ourselves act less human and more robotic. That leads me to the next thing that I cannot, for the life of me, continue to commit to: FAKE SMILES! I gotta tell you, I’ve had it. It truly takes someone like me more energy to force a smile than it would for me to just marinate in my grim state. Drumroll please for a second honorable mention that I mustn't forget to add…

What Is Happening?
Does anyone else have the looming fear that life has literally no purpose, like at all? Because I find myself getting up in the morning, getting ready, going to work, going home, going to bed, and repeating that. Every day. I find myself waking up a little bit later in the mornings. I set more alarms so I can actually wake up before I get up. I put in less and less effort when I get ready for work in the morning, and often get things done to me that make getting ready in the morning less of a hassle (i.e. get my lashes done so I don't have to put on makeup). I leave at the last possible second for work, and still get coffee on my way to work, because I can't survive the next 8 hours without it. I am late every morning, but my boss doesn't care. I don't actually work that hard, the job is just really easy, so I get it done quickly and just bullshit my way through the rest of the day. I avoid making plans so I can stay in my bed when I get home from work, and I don't even fall asleep until around 1 AM. And then we start at the beginning again. I find little to no interest in eating food. I eat because I'm bored. I try to only hang out with "friends" once or twice a week, because anything more than that seems exhausting. I am re-watching the same show with 14 seasons on Netflix... again.

'As If' Technique
What is the "as if" technique? The "as if" technique is an exercise that utilizes the power of action. For example, when you act "as if" you are confident. When you act "as if" you are happy, you will start feeling that way. Your mental state will start to change when your body and its actions change. It sounds simple, right? Well, that's because it really is THAT simple. The hardest part of this technique/principle is convincing yourself to do it.

On Why We Should Live as if We Only Have Five Years Left
"I don't know how to help them." "I don't know how to help them." He was stammering and he kept repeating himself. I looked down at his feet while he shifted weight from one to the other. There were wide spaces between his teeth and his face, youthful, was betrayed only by the lines of fear etched across his forehead.

The Ditch of Instant Gratification
I am a hedonist in many ways, as I have this constant urge for gratification which often can push me towards grabbing the nearest thing close to me to satiate this need. In the current smart technology age, social media can be one of such things. I don’t know how much time I can sometimes spend on Twitter and Facebook, and the internet in general. I end up often following the trail of links from my social pages, getting lost in the endless environment of cyberspace. My natural curiosity is itself a curse as a hunger for information, insight debates, views on perspectives on all the diverse topics that I am interested in; such as politics, science, business, economics, film, science fiction, and philosophy.
