At a Loss of Words
There have been moments where I was not sure what to say or even write. It was as though nothing came to my mind. In fact, this entire essay is one of those moments. I want to write about something. I do not care what. Yet, the main issue I have is WHAT to write about.

What's Your Excuse Not To Write Now
Oh boy! Now you’ve done it! You’ve found yourself working from home, unable to go out to the local Italian restaurant because of whatever new ban is in effect. You’re pissed off because you think your freedoms have been violated (they have, but I digress). And you’re a writer.

On the Corner of Selfish and Selfless
I saw her on a Wednesday morning on my way to pick up some medicine for my cat. She was standing at the corner of Central and Hillside outside of the Spangles restaurant as I patiently waited for the traffic light to give me permission to move on.

What the Heck is the Law of Attraction?
You may have heard about the Law of Attraction, but you may not know exactly what it is. In essence, it is a philosophy that suggests that you can bring positive or negative experiences into your life simply by focusing on positive or negative thoughts. Basically, it is a universal law that says you will attract such experiences based on your overall mindset, whether it is positive or negative. The Law of Attraction is part of the New Thought Movement, and it can be practiced greatly by focusing on your own thoughts and attitudes.

The 0.99 vs 1.01 rule and what you can achieve with small daily improvements A few months ago I stumbled upon a personal development article on an Italian blog that talked about a mathematical formula for success — or failure. I found it inspiring and motivating, and it literally changed the direction of my life.

My Journey
If you are reading this right now thank you! You have a heart and I appreciate you taking some time out of your day to read my story and hopefully afterward you might leave feeling more resilient. Anywho let me start off by saying that you have a story too whether you know it or not. It’s our nature to go through things, make mistakes, even feel like we don’t have a purpose here on earth. Well sorry to break it to you, this is your life and the universe or god said let me create something beautiful. So that being said, “Yes” you are worth it and you do have a purpose. Life is hard but I think we all could agree that it’s not impossible unless you quit. I know your not a quitter and you’ll soon one day see what I’m talking about. To better understand what I mean I will map it out for you, the struggles each person experiences is different right? I believe that each of us has certain challenges that are only meant for us. Personally I wish that wasn’t the case but we must struggle first, then learn and become the person we were destined to be. Welcome to my page and thank you for reading the intro to My Journey. The names Bryan and the stories you will be reading is to inspire. If you are feeling alone take a moment and read a little because you are not alone. There’s so much in this world we miss because we don’t take our time to really be heard or depend on only what society has to say. Please stay tuned for part one of My Journey, it really means a lot to me. For the longest time, I have struggled verbally sharing my thoughts so I chose this way of telling my story because since I was about seven, expressing myself through words was difficult. I would start off by having a thought but when trying to say it out loud it just made me agitated. I was originally born with Spanish being my first language which changed once I came here to the United States with my new family. Yes, I was adopted and born in Guatemala, a country located in Central America. I was really excited to come here and start a new and better life, and to tell you the truth I wanted to be an American and have nothing to every do with my home country. I will explain more on these things later on but for right now I’m just giving you a brief gist on what you will be reading. After being adopted I literally thought that I was the last person of my kind. Going back was a fear I had because I really wanted a new and safe place to call home. My grandma who came alongside with my new mom always told me that I wanted to be an American. Now I’m 19 years old and living a better life, but I’m still growing and facing challenges but it’s all part of a story that will have a beautiful ending. Yes, my past was hard but I think I’m learning to accept who I am and how my life came to be. My mom has always tried keeping me in check even through all the hardships and challenges we’ve faced, I’ve faced. I have people who support me but it’s me who needs to help myself, I have lots of faith that I will eventually make it to the other side. You will also make it because your a fighter and you deserve the best things to happen to you. So take a moment after your done and pat yourself on the back for waking up this morning, that’s a sign that you have hope and that is something to be proud of! You can only move forward and remember every single person on this earth has a story. Let’s spread positivity and use the internet in a more beneficial way, what you say friend ready to change the world.

How Taking A Year Out Bought Back My Creative Flare
It’s amazing how academia can destroy creativity. The strain to get the best marks, the time constraints of tight deadlines, the fear of forbidding assessments. Not to mention the fact that for most people, for myself, further education isn’t just a learning curve towards a degree, it’s the time period before employment in which you’re suddenly juggling being an adult.

Daughter Inspires Me to Create the Life of My Dreams Through Hard Work and Effort
Success is grueling work. Effort. Repetition. Delayed gratification. We sacrifice now for a theoretical reward in the future. Most of us lack the grit to achieve the life of our dreams.

2020: The Year of Eccentric Thinking
I recently watched Amazon’s new production, The Aeronauts, which traces the perilous journey undertaken by pilot Amelia Wren and meteorologist James Glaisher to explore the air. The film is based on the real-life balloon flight of British aeronauts James Glaisher and Henry Coxwell, the latter of whom is replaced by the fictional Amelia Wren. Glaisher’s meticulous measurements and observations lead to the discovery that the atmosphere has layers.

Cosily, Cuttingly, Connected
It is a curse and a blessing of the modern world that we are all connected. Opinions, beliefs, causes or any point of view can be promoted or voiced in seconds with just a few taps on a keyboard. No matter how outlandish or vociferous the view, one can always find a tribe that aligns with one’s point of view.
