Am I Ugly?
When it comes to Facebook, I am typically more voyeur than participant. Staying abreast of local happenings and observing the day to day lives of friends and family while remaining comfortably invisible on the couch in my living room. The comments are a momentary window into the minds of acquaintances and strangers alike; sometimes entertaining and amusing, sometimes prophetic but all too often distressing and hostile.

Are You a Builder or Are You a Destroyer?
An elderly neighbor lady once told me a story about a vandal-plagued fence. The fence was in a park in her neighborhood and her district as a city council member. Vandals would destroy part of the fence and she would work to have it rebuilt. The cycle of destruction and restoration repeated many times, leaving her frustrated and angry. How can people care so little about their community and why do some people find happiness in destructive behavior?
