A Letter to 2022 Joe
Dear future me! So the year 2020 was full of drama and confusion; with COVID 19 throwing the country into chaos. There were lockdowns thrown around in various forms throughout the year, cutting off access to family and friends who you were so used to seeing. You had to deal with working from home, being away from people turning out to be harder than you initially expected.

The 6 blogging goals I want to reach in 2021.
It's January. It's the goal-setting month. I published a post on my 2021 resolutions last week, you can read it here. But I mentioned that I would write a post just focusing on my blogging goals. By the time I publish this post, 5 months have passed since I started blogging. (I published my first blog post on August 3rd)

Reset
The past can be haunting especially if it runs your everyday life. This year I want to focus on my present and my future because it will really help me have a positive outlook on life. I need to stop dwelling on my past because I cannot change what happened. I need to focus on myself both physically and mentally. While I focus on myself also help those around me who have stuck with me through it all. To start is the hardest part but it will be worth it to prove to myself that I can do it.

Last year sucked. Do better
Dear Me, Let's start off by being honest with ourselves babe. Last year was garbage, on fire. No denying that. When you truly stop and think about it though, was it your worst? No. You've had years filled with extreme loss. 365 days of absolute misery and luckily for you, this was not one of them. Did it suck? Holy shit, yes. It was scary, depressing, many a times lonely, even though you have a husband and 3 kids. To suddenly be stripped of your ability to go out and enjoy some quality time with friends. Quailty time with yourself? I know, I know. You had loads of time sitting at home, but did you do anything useful or fulfilling with that time?

Organize Your Year
Dear New Year, It is high time I make real money this year. My goals for this year are to publish three or four books, get a part-time per article writing job, buy Covered California, and sell my business to a metaphysical bookstore using a presentation I'm writing, which is proposing an equal partnership. I also want to buy a kiosk at the mall to sell gemstones, and my artwork, maybe eventually turning that into a botanica. I'm looking forward to making a lump sum from a business sale, in order to have money in the first place with the ability to open up new streams of income as they come. I can't be super specific because every time I get that specific, something always comes up to get in my way.

This letter to me
Dear Jim, You really gotta consider it all ahead and use the new year. I know you say you do and you sometimes run out of breath because you talk so long in that direction trying to get someone to notice that was the wrong direction we were headed in, but fix it. Don't leave that mess on the table. I know it started to get like an unruly group of misguided children in a classroom that push the teacher's authority to its breaking point but you can't let that go. When you do you lose so much. Now think about it. When the factors in the equation are more like moving pieces, like planets in a universe, you better just get up anyway. Jesus, don't it all just seem to move so slow, but you watched so much of it slip away like that, like a country river, and you know the rapids are rough. As a note to you, don't forget the many things you've learned, the Eden between the Tigris and Euphrates, the cradle of life, crazed moves and wonders of the Vikings, how you know Scandinavian language is the sound of Germanic and French, and a man and woman traveled their to start a family and started a clann or cland, The entire story of Heaven, the insanity of roaving hordes and their terrible paths across plains and mountainous regions in Asia. We know that still impacts the world today. Don't forget the tragedies. Romeo and Juliet, Tsar Nicholas II, Macheavelli, Socrates, the argonauts, Julius Ceasar, Cleopatra, Leonardo da Vinci, Michaelangelo, Joan of Arc, Christopher Columbus. Re-recognize the status of the globe and that it was given to you and you cannot refuse it. She maybe a bit of a clunker that you inherited but with a little maintenance you can get her running well again. You have to remember the joys in life and find them again.

Hey....2021
Hey 2021, it is I. The revolutionary resurrector of resolutions. You may have heard of me from your sister 2020. Her and I know each other all too well. I am crashing into you headfirst on a plane full of hopes and aspirations that I could not muster up the mental capacity to actually complete last year. I am walking through your door refreshed and ready to take on the new world! Tell your sister that I have no hard feelings towards her. Although she took away my job and my sanity. The good news is right before you came along I snuck in through the window and grabbed them back! I was as light as a feather on my feet, you may address me as Muhammed. I have a proposition for you. How about you and I be business partners okay? What are some of your goals?......to stop global warming? Woah there 2021 you have big dreams and I like that about you. Let’s start on a smaller scale and then work our way up to world peace. So what I was thinking was that we can start off by getting rid of Covid. I know it sounds insane but just hear me out. So what we can do is sneak up behind her when she’s not looking and then BOOM! We snatch her up and throw her into a giant vat of hand sanitizer. Then after that I was thinking you could help me to push my online store to new customers. I just need a repost or a share okay? Everybody knows who you are so I’m thinking you can help me out. After that I was hoping you could guide me in writing my children’s book, you know? Send some publishers my way, work your magic, mix the razzle with the dazzle. You know a bit of all the right people. Then in the midst of those things you can be my workout, accountability partner. I can’t hide from you because, well you’re always right there watching me. There’s really nowhere I can go that you won’t be there (you better watch yourself when I use the restroom). Sorry for the mild hostility, it’s this extra-thick cloth mask I’m wearing that your sister gave to me. Anywho, where were we? Ah yes, accountability. If you do that for me, I promise I will push you whenever you give up on global warming. I’m not saying you don’t finish what you start but your family has been trying for years. You could be the one to change everything though, I believe in you. I also want to apologize for barging in with what may seem like a list of requests. You know what I have been through and why I am on your turf harboring a truckload of desperation. We just met but I love you. I don’t want to be too forward in saying that but hear me out. First of all you haven’t said a word this entire time I’ve been talking. No one has ever listened to me the way that you do and I like that. Second, You’re symbolic of a bright future and a new escape from all of the pain that I have carried through 2020. I dropped all of that off at a landfill right before you came along. I knew I couldn’t travel through with it anymore. We deserve a fresh start together.....Wow see, you just let me ramble on and on about whatever I want and you just listen. I don’t date people that I work with but the more we talk the more you’re changing my mind. Anyway, my last request for you as my partner is to take it easy on me. Partners lighten the load, they don’t add to it. Help me to become the best possible version of myself and i promise we can save the rainforest together. Love, Muhammed.
