The Little Dancer That Could
Ben and Maria were both fresh out of high school but had met, fallen in love, and wanted to be together for the rest of their lives. Ignoring everyone’s “conventional” wisdom Ben and Maria went for it. Getting married a year after they met and beginning the journey of living “happily ever after.” Full of love but overlooking the lack of financial aspect at that age.

How To Conquer The Planet
To conquer the planet in peaceful ways is what I’m about. To own the day and run the night. Then to also be aspired, gifted and blessed with freedom is one of our many wonderful gifts as humans. Many of us use it poorly or we use it out of hatred. Which totally sucks because then problems arise but hear me out. My main issue with the way our planet is run is there is too many different ways of excelling with the public. Lots of poor decisions made by individuals that cause a disturbance in the lives of other individuals. Problems that do not need to be created or maintained. Problems that need to be mended rather than be ignored or they do not need to be maintained to the point where they just never become resolved. I find this as an extremely sticky situation due to how often myself or my fellow followers or supporters blamelessly try to attract better greatnesses. But instead of reaching that better greatness we get held onto a backwards complication which regards unholy attempts of drawing out more of this uneasy form of care from one another and then back to another.

Pursuing Art
It's funny how you can try, but you truly are never able to . . outrun yourself. Behind each doorway and within every shadow that lays across the bright city streets, they are there. Us within them, them within us, and it will never change; as it didn’t for generations prior to us. Like it was once stated by Bukowski in ‘Bluebird’, the secret that we each have inside is old and true. . . within us sings a bluebird, just between me and you.

Laurel Longtail
On a chilly autumn morning squirrels scampered about the Pleasant Valley forest as it was a fine day and preparations for the upcoming winter were needed. Some of the squirrels were more diligent than others, one in particular, Laurel Longtail. She knew that winter could be harsh and took the task seriously, unlike her brothers whom she noticed seemed intent on wasting away the daylight playing tag amongst the trees. Sparing them only one frown of disapproval (which went unnoticed by her siblings), she set about to collect what she needed. One can never have too many nuts, but as she had been industrious in that endeavor, the day's priority was making a warm and cozy nest. Leaves were plentiful, but Laurel was a discerning squirrel and only the best would do. On the forest floor she hopped about the various trees searching for just the right leaves. Some were too brittle; some were too wet; some too small; and well oak leaves were never fashionable. She then spotted a reliable standby, a fallen pine branch with many clusters of needles attached. It would take some time to drag it up to her nest, but pine needles and twigs always make for a comfortable abode. Laurel grasped the branch and started to pull it slowly but surely. However, after she had just barely moved it, a strange sight appeared; the branch had been covering a rectangular case. The case was clearly a human contraption, it had a handle and metal clasps on either side; she knew little of humans but the word "briefcase" came to her mind. She wondered how such a thing could be found so deep in the forest, after all the nearest human settlement had to be at least a hundred trees away. Regardless, it had been there for some time, the outside was battered and the clasps were rusted. Laurel knew her nest needed tending to, but her curiosity got the best of her. She approached the case and studied it for a moment; it looked like there was bottom half and a top half which could be lifted up once the clasps were released. The clasps were indeed rusted and Laurel jiggled one of them. At first nothing happened but then giving it a good yank, the clasp yielded. Moving on to the second clasp, she jiggled it and pulled it but to no success. She took a moment to further examine it and noticed a little hole by the clasp. Wondering what would happen, Laurel took a tiny twig and stuck it in the hole; after wiggling it a bit, the clasp weakly popped open. Laurel was filled with anticipation as she grabbed the top half of the case and started to lift. It took all her strength and she had to stretch as far as she could, but she was finally able to open the briefcase. Laurel was astonished as she gazed upon the contents of the case, she had no idea that humans also collected leaves! She looked back and forth with amazement at twenty bundles of strange green rectangular leaves each wrapped with a band with the word "00.0001$" on it. Laurel took one of the leaves and looked closer at it. She noticed many strange markings on it and wondered if perhaps it wasn't a leaf at all. All the same Laurel was happy with her find, leaves or not, they would be perfect for her home. Laurel labored throughout the morning and afternoon hauling the bundles up to her nest. While removing the bundles, she noticed there was one other thing in the case, a small black notebook. Making one last trip to the briefcase, she looked at the notebook wondering what she could do with it; inspiration struck and she hauled it up to her nest.

Periods
Everyone falls into periods of their lives where everything is repetitive and depersonalized. When each day melds seamlessly into the next and nothing truly significant occurs. As Nova sits starring at the clock in the last class of the day, she decides that she is in one of those periods. She also decides that once she gets out of school, she is going to do something to get her life moving again.

Ivanhoe Inn
Theodore Schneider was not a very smart man. He didn't excel at business, sports, technology or anything that would make his life well off. Ted spent his entire life working to take care of himself and people that needed him. The luckiest day of his life was when he married Peggy May. No matter what job Theodore held, he did it happily and gave it his all everyday. Grocery stores, warehouses, factories, even loading snacks onto airplanes, no matter the job, Theodore did it.

El Camino
“Whatever you do, don’t run!” Every part of my body was frozen with fear as I heeded my father’s warning in the distance behind me. I could feel my blood run cold as the six-hundred-pound black bear, not fifty feet away from me, stood on its hind legs. A deathly silence filled the mountain trail. I could see the hot air escape from the bear's jaws as it let out an angry grunt and huff. “Walk back, slowly,” my father firmly explained, still in the distance.

The Book Of Me
The Book of Me Another scroll through the KeepInTouch app to see what everyone is up to. All people that, admittedly, I no longer talk to. Tristan Cook must be inspired by his name, as he mostly posts his food. Claire Morgan is on selfie number 3 for the day, and I do not believe she is quite finished yet. She pretends to be annoyed with the flirty comments on the pictures, but she keeps sharing more. Joyce Hadland, employed by the restaurant that I was sitting at, has shared her fundraiser for her brother Greg once more. I wish no ill will on anyone, but I was never a big fan of Greg. Still, his condition sounds quite serious nowadays. James Neary sent me a friend request, but I thought we were already friends on here. I do not think I will be accepting that.

Us Against the World
September 1st, 2021 My therapist said I should start journaling my thoughts. I don’t really think this will help, but I’m not the professional here so what do I know? I guess you and I are in this together then, little guy. Hope you know how to keep a secret.
