The Intentional Practice of Imaginary Emails
The Naysayers Some people think that the practice of setting positive intentions is nothing but a big hoax. Something that the Happy Police are greedily cashing in on by taking advantage of others’ gullibility and unhappy lifestyle choices.

The Top 10 Things I’m Looking Forward to Doing After the Pandemic
Who wants this awful pandemic to come to an end? Who wants to go out and do the things they love again? I'm definitely one of those people who wants this gruesome era to come to a halt, so I can connect with my friends and family and do the things I love doing without "walking on eggshells".

True Freedom in Structure
Do you have things constantly yapping around your head, begging for your attention? “Ohh, I NEED to do blank by blank but ALSO I’ve been wanting to do X this month and I never get the time, and I know I want to make more time for family, and I wanted to plan this trip, learn this new skill, work at changing jobs, etc etc ETC."

Will you be ok with being in the same place in 5 years?
Do you feel like your life is perfect exactly the way it is with no changes? Well if you said no, then you are amongst 100% of people who feel like something can change in their lives. Realistically, we all want to change or upgrade something in our everyday lifestyle. This could be financial freedom, more romance, an all-expense paid getaway, a new expressive wardrobe, or even a healthier diet. As humans, this is a completely normal reaction. We are chemically designed to seek bigger and better opportunities for ourselves. We can all imagine ourselves laying next to the beach on a warm breezy day while enjoying a carefree vacation, or riding in a brand new, luxury sports car as the wind brushes past your hair. Statistically, 100% of people want a better life, 5% will try, and 1% will succeed. What percentile will you reside in?

Mise en Place
If you've never worked in the restaurant industry, walking into a commercial kitchen during a busy dinner rush is like hitting a wall of sensory overload . Overwhelming smells, sounds, and sights are all layered and woven together in a complex dance of motion and coded restaurant communications.

Morning Victory
Life is all about the little victories. Lets think about this, all of the things we do are sprinkled with little victories. Whether its getting a cup of coffee in the morning or the air is remarkably fresh. Its the little victories that keep us going with our lives. If we didn't have them we might fall into a season of despair. Some of our time we even have phrases to describe these seasons, terms such as “seasonal depression” or a “dark period.” I think that these terms come into play when we lose sight of all of the little victories that our lives are filled with. I challenge the people around me to keep your eyes vigilant for the little victories you can have every day. Once we can open our eyes to the little things our days might just become a little brighter. This can then bring all of our days to become like the first day of spring. Every time we walk out the door, smell the air, look for the colors of the world, and always remember to smell the roses.

Optimizing my Life, one Vocal Challenge at a Time.
Start writing... the monitor prompts, more like taunts me. Just start writing, Cat. Don't think too hard about the next sentence, or the one after that. Don't dwell too long on the sentence you're writing now or the past ones that have already been written. And for the love of God, please don't edit as you go! No matter how tempted, and you will be tempted, you've just got to let the words flow. There will be plenty of time for editing later, but right you've just got to put pen to paper. And write, girl, write!

The 40 Day and 40 Night Challenge
Every Morning: I wake up at 3:30am. Not because I have to, but because I need to. People have a tendency to live in a rush, a rat race that just is unsettling. It is bad for their health. You see I wake up that early, because I need to. For my health. I start work at 7:30am. For four hours I am my own. I own myself and spend quality time with myself. This month I woke up one morning and decided to start my own business on the side. Much of the groundwork is done from 4:00am to 5:30am. People are amazed that I started putting together my business plan on February 26th and by March 1st I was already a registered business and on my way to getting the business running. Currently I have about 6 employees ready to start in April. I also have time to write in my daily journal, something I started in January. You see, in January I was a mess and disorganized. I was a wreck, and just not ready for the world on a daily basis. I disliked myself, so I did something about it. Daily for almost two months I wrote in my journal. I wrote, daily affirmations. I wrote how I was feeling inside and how I was feeling outside. I wrote goals and plans and dreams. Between the hours of 3:30am and 5:30am, I changed my life.

Diary Of A Lazy Kid . Top Story - March 2021.
Dear Journal, It's March! I can't believe we've spent one year in this pandemic but we're surviving. Despite winter being an absolute pain due to the second lockdown, I'm getting back on track to how I used to be. Fun, free-spirited and productive person.

Organised Chaos
A chaotic mind inspires a chaotic life. Timekeeping and organisation have never been my strengths. I’ve made hundreds of attempts to organise my thoughts in order to help make better choices and to figure out where I’m headed, but they never last for long. Eventually my thoughts are everywhere again, my work life colliding with my personal life, my past anxieties mixing with my future worries and the present sits there, utterly neglected. So, as Spring begins, I’ve started a new technique and so far, it’s working. Instead of trying to do everything but achieving nothing, I’m slowing down and chilling out. Instead of tackling my entire To Do list, my challenge to myself is to cross off just three tasks a day.
