Effective Time Management for University Students
TIME... the only thing us 'humans' can never get back. As for the quote above, how relevant is a quote from the 18th Century to us 21st Century students? How many times have you told yourself "Yeah its only 1000 words, I'll do it tomorrow", yes well thanks Benny Franklin, thank-you for telling us we can do it today and do whatever we want tomorrow! I'm going to be telling you how you can turn 'tomorrow' into 'TODAY' whilst still being able to go to work and earn some cash, as well as swiping left and right while being the last man (or woman) standing in Fortnight (or whatever game you're into).. ALL AT THE SAME TIME! This is of course called 'Effective Time Management' if you were wondering, not 'multi-tasking on Tinder and Video Games at the same time whilst at work'.

The Over-thinker
Hello and welcome to my Ted Talk about Overthinking. For those that know me, know that I like to over-complicate everything. To overthink or think too much. I'm a very visual person so I imagine that when I overthink, it's like that game I used to play as I a child, in which there's a pole that's connected to a string that has a tennis ball on it that you hit and watch as the tennis ball goes around and around and around until the next person hits it. I like to picture that when I overthink, I'm the tennis ball flying through the air, not knowing how to stop but desperately yearning to be beside the pole once more.

Why it’s okay you’re not performing during the Corona Pandemic
“I finally have the time, so why aren’t I performing as I’d like to be?” Perhaps you’re familiar with this inner narrative? Countless memes and social media posts popping up indicating I'm not alone in the current "I should be getting more done with the time I now have" narrative. The time I always complain about not having to put toward the things I want in life. Putting pressure and expectation on myself isn't anything new, I'm no stranger to it. Luckily I have the awareness to recognize this pattern is currently occurring within myself, and it’s no surprise.

Living in a Judgemental Society
How would you react, upon being called fat? What would you do if someone judges you for being real? When presented with these situations, we can simply decide to love ourselves more and focus on what’s really important, OR we can choose to react to the pressure of these comments by putting so much effort in seeking approval from others. Unfortunately, most of the people opt for the latter. Too many a time, we abide by these “labels” given to us, and try all sorts of ways to try to cope with the feeling of rejection by keeping it to ourselves and continuously try to get used to it.

Open your eyes, and wait and see the bigger picture, before it's too late. Because sometimes it's a choice you must make.
"It's a necessary ability to filter what we read and why should it be any different for how we think?" - Peter Mason Breathe. Take a second and pause. Feel the gentle rush of air into your lungs. If you meditate often then perhaps you already know these motions. In this space, I'm asking if you've seen or realised that there's a bigger picture, one that is hard to visualise and one that hides in plain sight. One that is there covered by our lives. It can seem like it only appears after it's too late. Oh so easy to see in hindsight. Yet, the future stands quietly there, patiently waiting. This has been a feeling I've felt at the end of a year at school, thinking of things you wanted to do. The steps you tried to take and the growth you wanted for yourself.

Why You Shouldn't Feel Guilty About Your Screen Time
In the past few weeks of quarantine, people have been sharing things that you can do without screens. Pinterest moms, news outlets, Twitter... it's a whirlwind of things to do away from your screen. But is high screen time really that bad?
